Well made resistor took the hum out of my doorbell transformer and brought my Simplisafe camera back to life. Inserted in line into one of the wires coming from the doorbell camera. Resistor decreased the current and greatly dampened the hum. Recommend highly.

When I hardwired my ring doorbell 4 and would press the button, I'd get a "ding" followed by 4-5 seconds of a continuous loud buzz and then "dong". I watched a YouTube video where a guy had the exact same problem and used a resistor like this and that fixed it. It worked for me as well! My electrician was not very helpful, but this was an easy install for me.

Don’t order two different types of resistors at once. I needed 10ohm and 20 ohm for a project. I received two packages. Neither was marked in either way and they were the same color. There was no way to tell which was which.

After installing the Telus video doorbell, I was constantly bothered by a persistent humming noise from the chime. To get some relief, I would occasionally turn off the chime, but this was only a temporary fix. The noise would return as soon as I powered it back on. Then, I discovered this resistor, which promised to solve the humming noise issue. I installed it, and the noise disappeared completely! I highly recommend this resistor for anyone dealing with a similar problem. It took less than five minutes to install and restored peace and quiet to my home.

Tested at 10ohm and worked for exactly what I wanted to do. I used them on my doorbell chime to work with my new doorbell. Making old technology work with new technology.

Fixed the audible humming from which started when I installed a video doorbell. *Note: My doorbell sometimes rings twice when only pressed once. Not sure why this happens; may have something to do with the model I have (SkyBell ADC-VDB105X), I'm not sure.

I did not like that I had to buy 10 but one of these resistors completely stopped the buzzing sound coming from my doorbell after I installed my video camera
