Van Holten's Pickle in a Pouch - 4 Pack - Sour Sis - Garlic Joe - Big Papa - Hot Mama

Okay so here’s the thing. I read many reviews before buying these as I’ve seen them all over TikTok as I am a HUGE fan of pickles. I’ve always loved them and I’ve tried hundreds of different brands over the years.A lot of reviews are not great on these pickles as I presume people have bought them as an impulse purchase. I highly recommend that you be an avid pickle fan before buying these. Yes when you open the bag they don’t smell amazing but what did you expect them to smell like….roses?Big Papa is salty as hell - so if you like a salty pickle here you are. Perhaps not as tart and tangy as some people would like but definitely strong flavours of dill and garlic.Garlic Joe is very similar to Big Papa but has a more pleasant aftertaste. Also very salty and not extremely garlicky.Hot Mama is a spicy queen and it’s really not as spicy as TikTok has made it out to be. It’s definitely got a kick that you can taste and feel but I’ve got a very low tolerance for heat and I managed this absolutely fine. The flavour is delicious and beats Big Papa and Garlic Joe.Finally, the Sour Sis is my personal favourite. This is the pickle you’ve been waiting for. If you feel like a big juicy pickle that has a good crunch to it and is sour and salty at the same time - here’s your answer.To summarise - don’t buy these if you’re not a huge pickle flavour. They do taste different to any pickle I’ve had before. Much more on the salty side so please know what you’re getting yourself into.

I saw the reviews on tik tok and wanted to try, I don’t know if I had a bad batch but they were disgusting. They tasted of chemicals and they made me and my partner feel sick. Tried a bite of all of them and they were the same, not worth the money at all

Brought these to play a game of pickle roulette, they were okay, after trying them I don't understand the massive hype.

I LOVE pickles but these are awful. I have a few friends and family that like them, but I'm not sure how. To me, they taste like they've been in the packets for far longer than necessary. Not a fan whatsoever! They arrived how they should and are what they say on the packet but flavour was horrible!

So I have waited to write this review as I wanted to eat all 4 pickles so I could give my proper honest feedback.Dill pickle - tasted like a giant McDonald’s burger pickle. Ok, not too bad wouldn’t buy on its own.Garlic joe - alright not great, didn’t taste very garlicky probably my least favourite out of the 4.Sour sis - lovely, I really enjoyed this one. Had a lovely sharp taste.Hot mama - my favourite. If you like spice this one packs a punch! Very tasty.Overall I think people leaving negative reviews saying they don’t taste like pickles aren’t really pickle eaters.I enjoyed van holtens pickles as I LOVE pickles and don’t believe it’s a waste of money how others are making it out to be.I would definitely be repurchasing sour sis and hot mama for sure!

Love these great price super quick delivery. Don't put your price up it's prefect will be buying again. The hot mama was prefect it wasn't scotch bonnet hot but it had a kick 🦵 and that prefect for me

As an American living in the UK, I have yet to find a decent pickle. I saw these on tik tok and the reviews were pretty mixed, but I decided to try them anyway. I know pickles are salty, but these are TOO salty!! Ruined the flavor for me. They were also not as crisp as I was hoping and more on the mushier side. Definitely disappointed.

Je m'attendais à vuvre une belle expérience mais catastrophe les cornichons ne sont absolument pas croquants ils sont mou et ne sont absolument pas récent... Je soupçonne même un emballage nouveau d'un produit passé, et quand on demande de discuter avec le fournisseur il nous explique que c'est ainsi et qu'il signale notre demande à Amazon sans pouvoir discuter, je le répète mais FUYEZZZZ
