Your basic lab thermometer at great price
Lab thermometers are built to be accurate, not to last -- it's only a matter of time before one falls off a bench or gets whacked somehow. Even so, I don't really need ten of them -- even with daily use in two locations, I only drop two or three a year -- but the price was so good it made sense to buy that many. They were also very quickly shipped. They read from 0 to 230F, with Celsius scale as well. They come with the little rubber ring to keep them from rolling (also for holding on to so as not to affect the temperature of the thermometer). They seem like pretty standard lab thermometers but at a really great price.

Great item for a limited budget
Calibrated the thermometers for our homeschool lab class and it calibrated to zero celsius during our freezing point but boiling was a little more complicated and the liquid inside the thermometer would not remain constant during the boiling point calibration when reading the thermometer. But for home school labs this will do and the price is good especially if you have a limited budget.

These lab thermometers are perfect for my earth science class
These lab thermometers are perfect for my earth science class. They do not have mercury so we don't need to worry about exposure. They hold up well to the students using them and they have a good range of temperatures on bit F' and C'.

Low cost and accurate.
I really only needed one of these thermometers, but the price for 1 of them with shipping was $9.50. I was able to buy 10 of them including shipping for $19.95.The box of thermometers arrived in perfect shape. Each thermometer comes in its own plastic case and each has its own roll guard. The thermometers have a dual scale (C and F) and though small, is easy to read. I checked for accuracy at 100 degrees F using a precision thermometer and I could not discern any error. The scale on the thermometer is graduated in one division per degree F and I found that the accuracy was as good as I could read.Laboratory Thermometer, Total Immersion, Pack of 10

Variable readings and inaccuracies.
Although these thermometers can be used in basic experiments, they are not consistently accurate enough for precision. Also, most of these thermometers were packed safely. There are 10 per pack and each thermometer is inside a semi hard plastic container. 10 of these fit tightly into a box.I don't know who is responsible but my order was padded and I ended up with two extra packages of 10 thermometers each.Yes - 30 thermometers for the price of 30 thermometers.Out of the 30 - seven (7), were broken. When I reached out to have the order corrected, I was ignored by the seller and the happy p3n1s who Bill-ed me.(I wonder if this review stays)

Finally enough thermometers!
Cheap and useful. The numbers are just a bit smaller than a standard thermometer, but great to have as many as we need for once! Shipped fast and well packed.

Cheap but neither accurate nor precise
Good price on a pack of 10 thermometers, but please understand the limitations and extra work you have to do.The good:1) Mountain Home Biological shipped very quickly and got it to me on the low end of Amazon's shipping time.2) Thermometers are dual scale (C and F)3) Thermometers arrived intact even though there was no packaging between the inner and outer boxesThe bad:1) The thermometers are neither accurate nor precise. See the photos. The variance between the thermometers are as much as 6 degrees F. Few thermometers were able to measure the accurate temperature.2) The thermometers are fragile. In the submersion test, I only have 9 thermometers because the tip of one broke as I place them in. I did not drop them in the cup and it still broke, so I do not recommend these for children. In the photo of the tips, you can see how thin the glass is.Since I needed them for an experiment, I calibrated them individually. Not difficult, but did take around 2 hours.

Most of the thermometers were in good condition but one of them had the red alcohol all broken up into little segments inside the tube and was unusable.
