I’m 5’6 and 145 pounds and a medium worked perfect for me, but if you like it loose, a large would definitely work. It’s also very flattering I love it

Q: Will this nightgown be too short or too long?

It depends on how tall you are. I’m a little over 5’3 and I like the length. It’s definitely on the shorter side, much like a tunic.

Q: Could I get it monogrammed ?

The material is a little thin for that I would think. However if there was proper backing and someone experienced doing the embroidery, it might work out ok.
