Hubby says great value for the money. Carburetor seems to be good quality and within spec. Install was easy and engine started right up. He had to adjust for RPM's and was good to go. Too soon to rate for durability.

I have a Coleman Powermate 5000 generator (10 HP Tecumseh engine) and haven't started it in at least 8 years. I decided to see if I could get it to start or throw it out. The gas had been sitting there for those 8 years and the gas valve was also left on. Anyway, I drained the old gas out and replaced the carburetor. There were just a few modifications that were necessary and mainly I just needed to bore a larger hole so the throttle linkage could fit. Just used a screw and widened the hole. The carburetor was really easy to put on. The engine started on the second pull and runs great. Easy!

There was no documentation related to a mixture setting but I assumed it was set approximately correct.I tried B12 cleaner, ran new fuel line and even removed and physically cleaned to jets with no change. At that point I realized that the high speed mixture was controlled by the nut (also the jet) and loosening that up a bit. I was able to make the mixture more rich and all is good now.

The carburetor on my engine had a pin hole in the float bowl and bad gaskets. Went to the dealer, he didn't have parts in stock. A friend said just get a new one from Amazon. The new carb. Bolted right up and looked right. I did have to drill the hole out for the throttle linkage rod. The engine wouldn't run..if I put some fuel in the carb, It would start for a few seconds. Float bowl was full, but wouldn't run. After an hour of messing with it, I used the float bowl and gaskets for my old carburetor. Put the old carb. Back on and it started right up. The air filter fit good, spark plug was junk. One thing good with prime, I got it faster then the dealer could of had my gaskets. I guess for $17...you get what you pay for..

I installed the carb, fuel filter & air filter & the generator motor started & ran perfectly on the 2nd pull. I am so happy. Very easy to install. Everything was the same as the carb I removed so connections were identical.

Coleman Powermate Generator had low idle surging I could not fix with everything I found on YouTube so I gave up and bought this. Worked perfect runs smooth fixed my issue very happy. I did have to drill out a hole so my throttle return spring linkage would fit and had to bend the choke arm so it fit through the cover. The spark plug is random so don’t count on that. Worth the money! Will just replace next time vs trying to clean trouble shoot drill out low speed jet.

My brother-in-law inherited a 5000 watt generator. It has been sitting in a barn for years. Unable to start it, I asked if I could try. After changing fuel and oil. Cleaned up the plug, it started and ran rough. Carb cleaner and filter would cost as much as this complete kit. All parts fit perfectly and now the generator starts with half a pull.Came right away and all installed in under 30 minutes.All ready for the next power outage.Dan.
