Great purchase !!
My family loves this movie. We were homeless and lost everything. Finding this movie brought back happier times watching as a family.

5 and 2 year olds love it
I was compelled to find some 'ethnic' superheroes after my 5 year old son started demonstrating some identity issues (and not so ironically, during black history month). The Golden Blaze was well received by my two kids, and immediately became my 5 year old son's favorite movie and superhero. I have even grown to appreciate the low-tech animation. I think that makes it easier for them to 'suspend their disbelief' since it's not as real looking as modern kid movies. Reminds me of the caliber cartoon I grew up watching.

Entertainment for older kids.
This video is just OK for me. The characters can seem a bit over the top at times. The storyline is cute but I found some of the language to be a bit mean for my young children. This may work better for them when they are 8 or 9 years old.

My children and I LOVE this movie
My children and I LOVE this movie!! It's clever, funny and just like a Disney movie, it's got something for the adults too! So the whole family is entertained.

Great film for small children
Great film for small children. Was pleased that the hero is melanated, as it allows my children to see themselves in that role.

An interesting cartoon
I found this little gem via LoveFilm, it is the tale of a young boy who has a favourite super hero whom he idolises. He also loves his father however his father is a bit of a nerd who tries hard to please his family, especially his son, and his overbearing boss. His father is an inventor who is unable to create anything worthy of success, until he makes a mistake which turns him surprisingly, into his son's super hero. Here in lies the tale of how together with his son, he saves their town from his overbearing, greedy boss who is hell bent on turning the town into his own private corporation at the expense of all its residents. With the voices of Sanaa Lathan, Blair Underwood & Michael Clarke Duncan, it is a good cartoon, but with today's high budget productions I am not sure it will hold the attention of today's kids who are into the high budget, highly marketed cartoons which spawn merchandise to boot.If you are looking for a cartoon which reflects African Americans then this is the cartoon for you. If not leave it alone.
