These are "real" fencing socks. Thicker and stronger than normal socks, and they come up high enough as needed.I've been fencing in them now for several weeks and have no complaints.

The package looks very cheap. The socks don't look like the picture at all. They are made in a small chinese factory without brand. Very disappointed at them. Won't buy them again.

Several issues:- I was frankly stunned when the item arrived. The supposed fencing socks were just like any other football socks. That's what they probably are but marketed as fencing socks.- XL is like a Medium. Unacceptable.- The smell of the socks when opening the packaging suggests they have been 'aging' in a warehouse forever. It's a smell of moisture and textile and age. It added to the already bad impression.- Various front companies selling the same item here on amazon.
