They stay in well, if you push them in well. Bigger ones would be an advantage, as the small ones are very fiddly. Not for kids!!

Good for a while
Bought these 2 years ago. This year I used 3 of these clips on a hair plait which is only worn when dancing, so not on a daily basis. I’m a dance performer so only worn then, and the clips keep the plait firmly in place when spinning / moving fast. I decided to reposition the clips and found that all 3 of them had rusted, 2 of them badly which rendered them useless as didn’t work anymore. Unpicking them I found the 2 worst had rusted through and broken.So though these work really well, they’re not great if you get a sweaty head with exertion.I doubt they’re stainless steel due to the rusting.
