VHC Brands Farmhouse Rustic & Lodge Ozark Red Bedding Accessory, Twin Quilt 70x90

Just received my two twin quilts. The base color is much darker than in the picture. It is what I would call a dark, dull tan not the light cream as depicted. The striped ticking on the other side, is also darker -- a dull red and the same dull tan (not red and cream). I decided to keep them anyway as they still fit my decor and purpose. However, if you are looking for a light color with brighter color accents, you won't get it with this quilt.On a positive note, I like the weight and feel of these. They truly are a nice quilted spread and not a comforter. The weight is good for year-round and would work with a blanket in colder area winters. It feels soft and usable right out of the package. Not stiff and no dye odor. It looks very well made -- almost handmade. It fit well with a country/cabin look which suits my needs. We live in a log house in the country.The sizing is generous. I have a bunk bed that's a single on top and a double on the bottom. There was no double/fullsize offered and the queen was quite large. So I opted for two twins. I am pleased that the twin is big enough to cover the bottom (fullsize) bunk. I works because there is no box spring, just a mattress. Also the bed is against the wall, so I don't need it to drape down to the floor. If I wanted more drape, I think I would still go with the twin and just use a dust ruffle with it.I have not washed these yet so cannot comment on how well they would hold up to washing.I would have given it a 5-star rating if the color had been true to the picture.
