JAPANESE ORGANIC CAMELLIA OIL is the BEST!
It is smoothing, softens your face and every other place of your skin. It's also antibacterial, and helps with acne. The Marketing Director was so friendly and gae me many tips. I'll give you one great one here. Smooth a bit on your legs before shaving. You will never get more sleek, soft, truly wonderful legs after shaving than doing this! Have a wonderful smooth, soft body and face with a couple of drops only (2-3 each place) each day. And it's without any other ingredient. I love one ingredient organic products that do the job. Clearly. You know what you're getting. This is truly excellent!

I am sure it has its benefits but I had nothing to rave about. I am on my second bottle though so while it is not bad, I was a bit disappointed as I saw no real change in my face after rubbing it on for a few weeks.

Too expensive for the size & old
As soon as I opened the cap, I smelled it oily. Cammellia oil does not or should not have any smell. I suspect that the bottle I received is old, perhaps sitting on the shelf for years. Also, it is very thick compares to other brands I have used. This is other evidence that it is old. For the quality (oily smell) and the size, it's too expensive. I would go back to Oshima Tsubaki (camellia) oil available on Amazon, which comes in a much larger bottle, no oily smell, and lower price.

The common denominator of beauty...
If I could distill the essence of Japanese beauty culture into one simple yet luxurious product, it would be this, camellia oil, extracted by time-honored traditional methods, without toxic chemicals. Chidoriya's product is the caviar of camellia oils, for the discerning woman interested in the health and beauty of her skin, and wary of toxic chemicals linked to breast and other cancer. It is simply the best of the best. This is not only a very pure and effective beauty product, it is a piece of traditional cultural history. Women of the Edo period, the ladies of the floating court, the floating garden, relied on camellia oil for the beauty of their skin, hair, and nails. If you go online, you can find paintings and woodcuts of the ethereal beauties of this time, only now, you can enjoy something of the same pure quality that they would have used and treasured.I use Chidoriya camellia oil on my skin; especially my neck, the delicate skin of the decollete, and the backs of my hands, massaging it into my nails to make them strong and gleaming. I do not use nail polish, but prefer to let the beauty of healthy buffed nails be my ornament. I will put a few drops in my palm, warm it in my hands, as the Chinese women did, to energize it with vital chi, as well as warmth, and then apply my hands to my face, where I have already applied cream. I usually do this at night. The oil sinks in and disappears, leaving only a silky radiance. When I wash my hair, I will shake a drop or two into my palm, distribute by rubbing my hands together lightly, and then run my fingers through my hair, concentrating on the ends, though if I want to tame fly-aways, this helps as well. Fine Western hair needs less than heavier Eastern hair to get the same effects of a healthy youthful shine that is so alluring. There are few things so aging and sad on a woman as dry matte hair destroyed by chemical processes and heat drying that does not reflect light. Silicon is no substitute, but only weighs your hair down. Camellia oil achieves this end, but with ongoing tonic effects of health to your hair. It is also so simple to use. All the shades of gray, silver and white will also benefit from camellia oil, as it will give health and sheen back to the hair, giving these natural tones a beauty of their own.Chidoriya camellia oil will be a versatile secret weapon for winter beauty, when women are up against wind and cold outside and drying central heat inside. I imagine this light application will help prevent static electricity 'special effects' when I take off my hat. ;) However, if one is traveling this could be impractical. Your favorite Chidoriya cream, Secret of Geiko and Secret of Maiko can be popped in your purse and with a mist of brumisateur (I never travel without the mini Evian bottles) can take a tiny bit of camellia oil rich cream melted in your palm and applied to your skin or hair that is being dehydrated in the arid atmosphere of the airplane or hotel. I love the history, purity, and romance of these products, and recommend them to other women.

The ONE item to get from this line: Spectacular 'do it all' beauty treatment ~ No smell, no artificial anything!
I purchased this from a local store that just started carrying the line, so I will not show as a verified purchase. Because I have, and have tried, over 11 exotic oils from a great company whose name is based in Shea butter, I was reluctant to try yet 'another' oil. However, as I read more about its high oleic acid content (which one of my top two oils, Marula oil, has,) and I also read about the traditional hand pressed/cold pressed way this is produced, and I decided to buy it: I was NOT disappointed. I have been using it for about two months. This is SO soothing and gentle and NOT greasy and just instantly absorbed by my skin. I LOVE mixing 1 drop into a moisturizer I already have to "boost" it into a more 'cream like' feeling. (Same with body creams!) I like this better as a hair oil BY FAR than Jojoba oil, Ojon oil or Argan oil. This does not leave my hair heavy when washed out, just softer and I feel like I've had a deep conditioning treatment. I L-O-V-E it on my nails and hands. It is completely non-greasy and disappears after a few minutes, so I can use my electronics sooner (Argan oil is nice, but geez, it really sticks to my palms and I can not touch any of my electronics for a while afterwards.) This has jumped to the spot as my number one oil, with a combo rosehips/carrot seed oil as a second, and marula third. How was this kept a secret for so long?! I somehow missed it until now. I also love that it DOESN'T come with a gross rubber dropper. I don't like those and I honestly don't find them sanitary for long term use for an oil. (I've used many, trust me on this.) This is dispensed easily drop by drop just by tipping the bottle. FYI: My skin is a combination type, with dry, red, rosacea prone cheeks that react to everything: this helps soothe them and just feels like a soothing cushion when tapped on alone. Less is more! Do not overdo it! If you look oily, you put WAY too much on. One drop covers my face and neck and all the way down via patting into the skin. If you don't want to change your moisturizers, this is the ONE great product to add to your beauty routine. No smell, no artificial anything! - ALSO!! I forgot to mention in my other reviews - my box came with an expiration date stamped on the bottom of the wrapping, and it was over a year and a half away! I feel like these products are made in small fresh batches, and nothing is more important in skin care than FRESHNESS. Thank you Chidoriya!
