I am a school social worker for an alternative high school. Students are extremely resistant to wanting to share personal information during group counseling. This book is extremely helpful and effective at getting students to talk. There specific conversation topics that get them started and questions to continue the conversation. There are also activities or suggestions to keep students engaged. The lesson plans have wiggle room and full of ideas to keep in mind. The topics leave room for students to have discussion without disclosing overly personal information if they don't want to! I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. It has been so helpful as a starting point. Students have been talking throughout group that we are frequently running over time.

I do not have the full time to run the activities but I will pick and choose what I find most valuable out of all of the wonderful activities

Looked like the pages were just copied from a printer. All of the print was crooked. You can literally see it was copied at a slant and the pages were not even.Over all the information is good and I can use it. If your not in to a nice presentation of product and only look at content then it could be good for you.
