Q: I am a 44 waist has anyone with a larger waist bought these and did they fit?

I'm a 34 waist and I bought a medium and they are a perfect fit very comfortable. I've bought under armour, Nike and Adidas in the past and I find these much better.

Q: Size chart shows that xxl is waist 31.5. i am waist 36. i dont understand if anyone over 31.5 will fit??

Not 100% sure, but what I can say is your standard Small, Medium, Large and X-Large sizes apply that you would expect in a normal shop. I am a 34, and large fits perfect with some space to go. Based on my Large, I would guess a large would fit you fine yet tight and XL maybe okay but perhaps a bit to lose. Hope it helps
