The most important piece about doing this work is that you clean the shelf that the lens sits on until it is absolutely spotless!!!There is a small groove on the outside of the ledge which is easy to miss. Clean this area with a flat sharp surface like a small craft knife - again this area must be immaculate or the glass will not stick.I used a small handheld vacuum cleaner and fine brush to clean out the lens area from any bits which inevitably fall and fly around when you are removing the old lens and cleaning the old adhesive.The adhesive tape is very fiddly to remove and again use a small craft knife to lift the brown protective tape cover from the adhesive ring on the new glass.I’m an experienced electronic engineer and this took me 45 minutes with an eye glass (I’m getting old) to make sure it was spotless. Again I can’t emphasise enough how important it is to make sure that the entire ledge area is free of any contamination.Take your time and clean, clean and clean again. Good luck!
