I like this sampler better since it comes with a 5 blade tuck for each brand. That allows more options. There will sometimes be bad blades that make their way through QC and if you only have one blade in your sampler you may attribute that to the brand when it may just be a bum blade. With 5 of each you can account for that. Different razors respond differently to different blades and if you have more than one razor this sampler allows you to try a new blade in different razors to see which blades each razor prefers. Finally, if you buy a sampler early on, it can be hard to say if a bad experience is the blade or your technique. Having 5 of each lets you go back later to see if your blade preferences change as your experience and technique changes. So, I bought this sampler, plus about half a dozen other 5 blade packs of brands I wanted to try. So far I have not tried all of these blades yet, but I have liked every single one that I have tried. The Nacet is currently my favorite of all the blades I've tried, and in this pack, I have also liked both Astras and the Gillette Platinum quite a bit.
