Is it cricket?
The product comes in a sealed foil bag inside a box so is well protected through the post. Whilst described as roasted crickets they could be anything when you look at them .being freeze dried they are light and flakey with a bit of a crunch. There is nothing unpleasant about the appearance or the taste indeed the taste is more of the added flavouring than the cricket, piripiri barbecue etc. There is no uggh feeling to eating them because they don’t look like crickets so if the intention is to discomfort people by eating them you have the wrong product. The product is advertised as high in protein which must be good but is it value for money at the moment? Dropped one point for value for money.

Don't expect it to come in the box shown in the picture...
I bought these as a present so I was expecting the box shown in the picture, instead, I got a battered cardboard box with the packets crammed inside. Looks like I'll have to improvise...

Get over yourself and just try them!
Saw these on TV and thought "why not", my first trial with eating bugs and I was not disappointed. If you can convince yourself to ignore what they look like and just do a blind taste test you won't even know what you're eating. They're just crunchy BBQ flavour similar to kettle chip crisps. After handing these out at the office to those brave enough to try there were very few negative comments, mainly that the BBQ is a bit strong.I found myself standing on these with a cold beer after work. The only bad thing is the price v quantity. I'll therefore likely only get these as a very special treat. Unless someone wants to brighten my day?

Don't be put off!
Don't be put off by the thought of eating crickets, you really don't feel like you are eating insects. The texture is very interesting and out of the 3 flavours, I'd have to say Chili and Lime is my favourite.A bit of criticism is that a lot of the pieces are quite crushed up, would personally prefer to have whole crickets instead of bits of leg.Would try again, but won't start eating these instead of crisps!

Tasty BBQ crickets!
Crunchy, tasty, high protein and fibre novelty treat. Going to order more for gifts. The packaging is nice as it has simple to understand graphics printed on the inside of the box showing water consumption, protein and land usage of crickets compared to cows, pigs, and chickens. Gives you something to think about without it being an “in your face message”. The 15g packs are snack size and are great tasting flavours.

Spicy
These are very heavily spiced, so you can only just about taste the crickets. They would be ok as bar snacks, but avoid if you don’t like spicy food.
