My Second One
I've had the smaller (355ml) one for ages. So good, I decided to buy its bigger sibling.Well designed, premium build, but, most importantly, keeps things really hot for ages (don't forget to pre-heat free flask first)!Freshly made coffee is still too hot to drink after an hour in the flask! 👍

Firstly I love the construction of Earthwell products. The coating they use feels durable and has a nice texture to it. The mug feels well constructed and high quality. I have carried this mug every single day for several weeks in my backpack to work carrying it on public transport. It's then been chucked it in my work bag, has bounced around in vehicles, been jammed into cupholders etc. Basically fairly standard daily use for someone who doesn't work at a desk. I've been very happy with it. My other mug is the Klean Kanteen one which I also love and use on occasion, but the Earthwell has taken the lead for a few reasons. firstly, the main reason, is the complexity of the lid. The Earthwell one is a much simpler design which is far far easier and quicker to clean. The way it works also means the section of the cap that makes contact with your lip is covered when not in use. The Klean Kanteen cap is exposed to dirt and grime. One issue that both have is when drinking from them whatever it is you are drinking will get on the exterior of the cap, meaning if you want to shove it back in your bag there is a risk of getting a small amount of coffee getting in your bag. I have found this to be slightly less of an issue with the Earthwell mug, again giving it the lead. The Klean Kanteen might be less prone to accidentally coming open if bouncing about in a bag though. I also like the loop on the Earthwell cap which makes it easier to grab or clip to something. This flask generally does not leak for me. I can fill it with a liquid, turn it upside down, shake it and nothing comes out. It leaked in my bag once which was possibly my own fault for not closing the lid properly. The lid flap is secured by friction so there is a risk of over time it loosening and being more prone to being knocked or slipping open.I've found the Earthwell mug to keep my coffee to a drinkable temperature for a max of 5 hours. I only use it for black coffee and always preheat the mug with boiling water before putting my coffee in it. I feel like the Klean Kanteen mug might retain heat a little longer, but that's possibly due to less heat being lost through the additional material of the more complicated cap. Given the trade off between a little extra heat retention vs being easier to clean, being easier to clean is my preference.
