Kiwi Shoe Polish - 1.2 Ounces

Shining boots was a huge part of my military experience, and I took a ridiculous amount of pride in how mine looked. They were spit-shined every day, and by the time I was finished with them, they looked more like patent leather than the rather inexpensive leather from which they were actually made. Kiwi was the product I learned to depend on then, and it remains the shoe polish I use regularly today. There is a real difference between putting a little color on a shoe and building a proper shine. A good polish needs to spread evenly, work into the leather, and allow you to develop the finish gradually without becoming a gummy mess. This does exactly that. It restores the depth of the color, covers the ordinary scuffs that make footwear look neglected, and can produce an exceptional shine when you are willing to put some time into it. I also appreciate that this is still a simple tin of traditional shoe polish. It does not need an applicator gimmick, a redesigned bottle, or a long list of dubious improvements. A small amount goes a long way, the tin is easy to store, and the results depend largely upon the care you put into the job. That is probably why it has remained a standard for so many years. These days I am not preparing boots for military inspection, but I still enjoy keeping good footwear looking properly maintained. After using this for years, I have never found a compelling reason to replace it with something newer or more elaborate. It is inexpensive, dependable, and capable of producing a genuinely impressive shine. Five stars.

Great shoe polish. Harder to find in my area now. Glad to find it here as my military family has used it for over 50 years.

The best shoe polish ever but it has suddenly become unavailable in stores. I found it on Amazon; the price is ridiculous but my husband has to have a good polish for his dress shoes. Expected a larger size, especially for the price. I purchased it…reluctantly.

I use this polish for my work boots and it provides a nice shine. It's easy to use, just apply a small amount to clean leather and buff to shine. Repels water well. It's the same polish my father used, so the smell is very nostalgic.

I use this kiwi polish as part of my travel routine, once I have my bags packed and I'm ready to head to the airport its time to polish up my old Rockports. This is very easy to use and keeps shoes looking fresh. I typically get three years out of a pair of dress shoes and I wear them every day. I personally use a small harder bristled round brush to apply the polish and a larger soft brush for the polishing itself. I have tried a no name brand from a big box store before, and I threw it in the garbage and went back to the Kiwi. Highly recommend this to keep your shoes in tip top shape and looking good for longer. This is probably my fourth or fifth tin of this stuff.
