As usual, thinking I was going to get a good product I discarded the original packaging of this GoPro the day it came in the mail. And two days into using the camera I dropped it in my 5ft deep pool and got it out in less than 15 seconds. Instantly it shut off and would not turn back on until the next day when it dried out inside. I thought it maybe was my mistake, but no it clearly says up to 33ft waterproof and it certainly was full of water inside after being submerged 5 ft underwater for 15 seconds. The next time I decided to test its waterproofness, it shut off and never turned back on.The seller, Adorama refused to accept the return without the original box...Even though it wasn't their fault that the product was defective. No worries, never buying from this seller again! (long term relationship with your customer is what increases LTV)If you are planning to buy from this seller, maybe consider buying elsewhere where great customer service is a part of the culture.

Good kit but 2 of the 3 extra batteries included doesn't work properly with my GoPro because they are not made for the Hero 8 camera model. It would be better to include in this kit only Hero 8 batteries.

We all know Gopro makes awesome stuff. The 8 has the Hypersmooth 2.0 and its amazing. Only down side is batter life is like maybe an hour per battery depending on the quality you are shooting in. Other than that they are great

Just gave us an amazing amount of beautiful video and pictures.Fortunately we were told ahead of time to buy extra batteries because they only last about 45 min. But all in all this is an awesome tool

We haven't had a chance to play around with the camera very much, but it seems to work well, and the picture is rather nice. Since we have had such limited use of the camera, we cannot speak about the life of the battery. We did purchase extras as we were told that they run down quickly. We plan to use it for Jeeping excursions, and mostly our motorcycle rides.

Very good camera. If you need to use for a longer time frame switch to 1080/30fps last almost 2 hours. 1080/60fps last about 45-50 mins. Wish lens could be switched out for a new one like the gopro7 only thing you can do for it is get a screen protector which changes filming quality

I had the her 3+ the 6 black and now the 8 with all the new features and smooth it amazing I use it to record my trails and adventures on my Can am X3 and blog on my youtube channel the new features are perfect the video looks like a pro recorded thank you to the new smooth feature, able to add gauges and info on my footage it is amazing.

The camera itself is fantastic! I can’t say that enough. I have used it for time lapses of building projects, bike rules with great stabilization, regular video recordings of the kids, and more.The batteries don’t last very long though, needing to be swapped more frequently than preferred. Additionally, they get very hot. This morning while recording the kids playing, after having this for about 1.5 years the, the batteries died pretty fast (faster than normal). Not only that but they expanded to the point I almost couldn’t get them out of the camera. I switched the battery and it happened again.Overall, my biggest complaint/issue is with the batteries. Our older Hero 7 Black has no battery issues and lasts longer than two batteries back to back on this one.I’ll be reaching out to GoPro regarding the battery issue and them expanding.
