POWERFUL
powerful! This is just what I wanted after finding too many cool mist machines...the steam is hot and comes out with force! My only dislike is, once it's been on for 2 hours, it becomes loud- like a loud drain sound, so I can't sleep with it on, but I can fill my room with great humidity for sleeping!!

only lasts for five hours
I filled it to the fill line and it only lasted 5 hours. It was advertised as 12 hours and I wanted to use it at night while I slept. It does shut itself off though, so it appears safe.

Glad I purchased.
At first I thought it wasn't working properly, but then I realized I needed to use more salt and mix it better. Now it works great. A good vaporizer for the price.

I was looking to replace the Crane Frog cool mist humidifier I had gotten as a baby shower gift for my now 4 year old. There is no on/off switch (which, in all fairness, I had read about in previous reviews, but I didn't realize how much it would annoy me in during actual use) I couldn't get it to work properly without adding salt and even then, following the instructions, it would sputter and overheat. I don't feel safe using it in my daughter's bedroom and will probably just end up throwing it away because I waited too long to return it. I will not buy this product again and wish that Crane would take into account the fact that most of these colorful and "cute" vaporizers and humidifiers are being used in nurseries and/or kids rooms and should be designed so that they are much easier for overtired and overstressed parents to keep clean and should be much safer. Loved the look, but hated the maintenance. I'll keep looking for other options since I have two little ones that always get slammed during cold and flu season.

Hot/no on or off switch
We bought this humidifier for my daughters room. It is too dangerous to leave in her room since she is only 5. It get extremely hot on top. There is no on/off switch for the unit, or removable water container, so you have to unplug it to turn it off and to refill with water. I wish I paid more attention to the description, because I would have paid more money for a safer humidifier.

You can't tell it even on. It puts out hardly any steam and you can't smell the vaporizer smell coming out. I hate. I should have stuck with the Vicks vaporizer instead of giving that one to my daughter. But she has the babies.
