Perfect board
The media could not be loaded. I have been surfing occasionally for a few years now and this is my first board I’ve owned! It’s a soft top, perfect to carry and maneuver. The great thing about having a 7’ board is it’s much easier to carry, fits well on our Subaru Outback, and is quicker in the waves. For the first time use the wax did not stay on for that long so hopefully overtime the wax will stick. Great board.

Pleasantly Surprised
I originally purchased this board for my son (16) and daughter (13) - to bring along on the family spring break vacation in Florida. Daughter has boogie boarded and son is learning how to surf.I wanted to make sure we had some activities to keep the kids from being bored at the beach and didn’t want to drag my fiberglass boards all the way to Florida. My plan worked perfectly. Kids loved the board… so much that I should have gotten two of them. Board was well made, stiff (not flimsy) yet covered with a squishy foam deck. The soft top was forgiving when they took a beating in the surf and as they banged the board carrying it through our rental home. Loved the fact that the board was a thruster (3 fins), not just a single fin and that the fins were high quality and easily removable. The board was light enough for my youngest to carry with minimal complaining and easy to pack when you take the fins off.Truth be told… having surfed since college, I was initially not a fan of “soft top” boards, thinking they were more of a toy or fad. But when the kids and wife were otherwise occupied, I was able to sneak out and grab a few waves myself. I had a blast. The board was able to float me (180lbs) and once riding was surprisingly fun and maneuverable. All in all we are thrilled with this purchase. Product arrived quickly and adding fins was easy. We have bought soft top boards from the big box stores in the past and I was always disappointed with their quality but the Froth board was a pleasant surprise. So much so that we are going to get another one.Cheers

Quality!
Build-wise, this is one of the best boards I've surfed. It absolutely doesn't have the foamie-feel. It feels sleek but strong. If it had a wider nose, it would be the best I've ever had, but I just can't stand the narrow noses, especially on a shortboard.

Falls apart and the manufacture won't answer emails
I bought this board for my 9 year old son. He loved it while it lasted. The entire bottom skin came right off. I have emailed Boardworks customer service several times and they don't reply. There is no phone number to call. Their warranty says to go through the outlet you bought it from. I don't know how to get this straightened out through Amazon as it's well past the time to return it. We have a neighbor and friend who also bought the exact same board and the top skin is bubbling up. Save your money and buy from another manufacturer!

Fun and great first or second board for someone learning.
I think this board is fantastic. We have had the 7'0 now for over a year and that one has held up. The construction fantastic, the materials are much better than what other soft boards offer and it comes with nice hard fins in Future fin technology. It is lightweight (relatively speaking) and has a decent rocker which will help beginners. Not too much and not too little. The board has really boxy rails but for a beginner or even an intermediate surfer, that's not a bad thing. Relative to the other types of softboards I know are out there, I think this is a step up. I read some of the reviews and can't imagine why these would fall apart unless you leave it out baking in the sun day after day. I think if you take care of them, they will last quite a long time. Also, if you want to see a full video review, google "thebudgetsurfer". I have put in some clips fo me surfing it as well. for a beginner and intermediate surfer, this is a nice next step from a wavestorm, but having said that, you could opt to get the 8'0 froth and skip the wavestorm. From what I remember, the wavestorm is about 80+L and the 8'0 froth is about 71+L. Unless you are super a big person, the froth is a much better baord for learning and progressing.

Frothing at the mouth to surf this again!
The media could not be loaded. Crazy fun! First two sessions today at two different breaks, super fast right, and a thick left point break. The strong offshore wind held up the board a bit on the right, and I hadn’t applied wax, so kinda slippery. The second session felt great. Real fast and had a great balance And feel of both rigidity and flex. Could be both a small grom beginner board or used to mix it up for experienced surfers.By the way, I got the 5’0” and I’m 5’11” and 155lbs. It paddled well but I also have a smaller beater board so I like these little pellets! I actually want to get the 5’6” as well.

What a foamie should be.
Board is sick. Been surfing it for a few months now and it is everything you want your foam board to be. Tough, floaty, but still very maneuverable. The fact the it takes regular futures it awesome. I will say I end up surfing the fins it came with a ton. They have a narrow base and really stiff for a set of plastics. I have been really impressed with them. Pick one up. On par with the best softies out there period.

Doesn't catch waves
Board hangs at the top and doesn't like to drop in. I thought I would add a soft board to my quiver, I chose poorly.

a great board
Like other dads, i got this thing for my wife and little boy to play around on. Now that i used it several times, i like it better than my expensive channel islands board. The low rocker allows this thing to catch most small waves, the board is responsive and easy to paddle, it is small for easy transport and the soft top let you beat on it without worrying. It is great to see soft top surfboards come this far!
