The concept of the cube is actually really neat, and I wanted to enjoy the puzzle. I had an idea of how to solve it just by looking at it and I was correct. It's about as difficult as a skewb crossed with half a pyraminx. Unfortunately, there's a fundamental problem.The turning on this cube is AWFUL. The corners rotate just find and the material feels very nice, but the little edge pieces have what's best described as a negative feedback interaction. Normally on a cube if pieces are slightly misaligned they push each other into the correct orientation. On this puzzle, however, if the pieces are slightly misaligned they catch on each other which deflects them FURTHER out of position completely jamming the cube.Worse yet, the turning may be smooth but only for a partial turn. I've had times where I turn the cube halfway without issue when suddenly it jams. I didn't change direction or anything. Sometimes, two pieces will start jamming each other 3/4 of the way through a full turn.If they improve the mechanism it would be fun to solve but right now it's not worth using.

It’s well built and fun to resolve. This cube has lots of small triangle pieces and need to be very careful to make sure all the small pieces been turned to the right place every time; otherwise, it will be stuck.

I bought it for a birthday gift and it was a huge hit! Birthday boy loved it and forgot about the rest of his presents.
