I used one layer cake 10x10 precut set. It had 4 of each fabric which gave me less variety than hoped for, but I still love the end result. I worked in groups of 5 layers and just arranged each layer to have all different fabrics. This made it easier than to remember which fabric needed to shuffle to which other layer. The plastic grids cut off the "dog ears" as part of the grid, so matching seams is a breeze--no offsetting the seams and ending up with dog ears to cut off later. I would make another. It goes together quickly.

OMG,I LOVE these templates. All of the Creative Grids templates are wonderful to work with. I have the other 2 crazy templates they offer and they are just wonderful. Would recommend to anyone who is starting out in quilting and trying to find easy blocks to make for table runners or quilts. These are great!!

I am always partial to Crazy Quilts and this new set of templates makes a wonderful block. Heavy duty, easy to use with rotary cutters, and the pre-trimmed corners make joining the pieces fast. And they remove the excess seam bulk so decorative embroidery or quilting is smooth and perfect. They are ideal for use with layer cakes and leave little waste.

Although there are some "knock-off" items available, recommend reading the reviews carefully and buying this set. The kit does exactly as described, the pieces are well-made and accurately fit together easily to make a beautify square. I'm been using for 4 years to make "scrap" or crazy quilts with embroidered seams, etc. I am very happy with it, well worth the price. Buying the 6 inch set.

I love the way these are made. There is something on the back that prevents them from sliding on the fabric which makes them very easy to work with. Of course you don't "need" these to make a crazy quilt but they are nice for cutting 10 squares and getting the most out of them. I will mix it up with other squares that I make the old fashioned way so it does save me some time and makes it easy to use my precuts. Overall I am really happy with these.

I loved the ease of making the block Pick 5 fabrics that blend together start cutting and sewing. Great instructions included. The pictures are just my sample block..note to self and for future buyers..don't use directional fabric. See my lambs in the pictures. If that doesn't bother you then you can use it. 🙂 I took away a star because they had 2 prices listed. One for 36 (I think that's what I paid)and a used one for 22. I chose the "brand new one" because it was to be delivered the next day, which it was. The used one was going to be a few extra days, me being me didn't want to wait so I ordered the new one. As you can see in the last picture the directions were clearly uses and the rulers are very slightly scratch. Not enough to send back Just upset me a little that I paid for new and got used Other than that, I love them and may be buying the other 2 sizes they have.

I normally make the acrylic patterns for my wife for quilting to help her get consistent pattern pieces. But for a crazy quilt, I decided to buy this one. If you haven't cut templates from acrylic before, it is very difficult to cut acute angles without their breaking, no matter if you have years of experience and professional tools and techniques. So if you're a person making the quilt, or if you're trying to get crazy quilt templates for your quilting person or a gift for a quilter, this is worth the money and a great savings on time and your sanity rather than trying to cut the templates yourself. And there is no question that using templates for each pattern piece provides consistency that makes for a much more professional product and saves a ton of time and frustration for the quilter.

Really nice set. Sturdy and I really like the grippy side. I can't wait to use the set. I have the perfect set of fabric for the project. I just have to finish the 3 projects I have going on. Told my husband that I wouldn't buy any more fabric, templates aren't fabric though.

If you have watched the You Tube video about the Crazier Eight Template set, it lives up to all expectations!

You can do just a square but if you place your square differently, you get a ⭐️. My first time trying patchwork and this type of sewing tool makes it soooo easy.
