Is this ment yo used with a strip? And i do warm it up in thr microwave?

Jaylene, the sugar refill is meant to be used with Moom cloth strips (which are washable). You could possibly substitute strips of sturdy cotton cloth but we've only tested the strips supplied by Moom. The Moom strips work really well.You can warm up the sugar in the microwave. Use short 10 second cycles until the sugar is warm and fluid with a consistency like honey. Be careful not to heat up the sugar too quickly or you could burn yourself. The sugar should not be heated past being comfortable to touch. A second way of heating up the sugar is to warm up a bowl of water in the microwave or pot and put the refill jar in the bowl.

Does your hair need to be a certain length for this to work?

Not really. It has worked well on me even with short hair.

I don't have a microwave, is there another way to heat it? Maybe sitting jar in a bowl of hot water or in oven on warm?

yep that's the old fashion way. that's how it was done. take a metal pot, fill with water, make sure u don't fill to the top, for the water may go into the jar and it can ruin the the stuff in the jar. anyways. maybe up to moom fill the pot with water. then watch it become liquid, and wax... DO NOT PUT IT IN THE OVEN! i think that is dangerous, it needs to breathe, and if u put in the oven you are baking not heating, and it will dry up I think good luck.

I just buy a new one and recycle the jar. I've not found refill packages for this.
