Our application is to spread ice in the bottom or a cooler and use the racks to support the items to be cooled above the melting ice. The trays stack perfectly and are absolutely fantastic. I have had no issues with tray strength (i.e minimal bending under load) and they have significantly improved my ability to cool baked goods. They stack high enough that you should be able to will them with muffins but anything taller than a muffin will get very close to hitting the tray above it.
