These arrived in a box, clean, unblemished porcelain soup ladles. I was using steel ladles that would get scratched up in my Staub cast iron, and silicone ladles, I did not like the smell. WIth these porcelain ladles, smell is not an issue and scraping, we don't hit the bottom of the pot. These made cooking and stirring soup much easier. Size is great for serving right from pot. Also good for serving items where you need good size spoon to get a glob of stuff in one fell swoop. Very please with these.Update 12/18/21 - I measured liquid only (no solids such as chunks of food in the liquid) and these hold approx 3oz/90 ml of liquid. Substantial scoop of food with liquid e.g. stews, soups, etc.

I use this ladle primarily for eating my homemade "SOUP THAT KNOCKS YOUR SOX OFF" because nothing I own allows me to easily consume my soup without spilling. Yes it's large & delicate, but it's beautiful & high capacity! It also works for skimming fat from homemade chicken broth OR chicken crockpot recipes. Easy to clean but wash separately to avoid damage 💔.

Fair warning, these are massive. I had checked the dimensions but couldn’t really imagine the size until they arrived. They’re more of a serving spoon, so purchase accordingly! Very pretty and useful, though!

I loved these spoons right out of the box. The porcelain is wonderful, heavy, thick, sturdy. I've used them to serve soup, beans etc. Great to use when you need to scoop up or ladle.I would love to see these in different sizes. These are large and do the trick. A medium sized one would also be useful, a spoon shaped one for serving would be wonderful too.I just love them.

Fairly good quality for the price. The larger 10.6inch long spoon are perfect for daily soup serving.
