A Must-Have for Solo Gamers Who Love Marvel and Strategy
As someone who often plays solo, Marvel Champions has been an absolute gem. The game is designed with solo play in mind—each hero feels unique, and the modular villain system keeps things fresh and challenging every time. Whether you're taking on Rhino for a quick match or diving into a longer battle with Ultron, the experience is consistently engaging and rewarding. The core set includes five heroes and three villains, offering plenty of variety right out of the box. The deck-building is intuitive but deep, and the game scales beautifully whether you're playing solo or with others. The production quality is excellent, with vibrant artwork and clear components. If you're a Marvel fan or just love strategic card games that respect solo players, this is a fantastic investment.

Worth the wait
Really engaging game, quite complicated at first to get to grips with everything as it's super detailed but once you get the hang of it there's loads of different tactics and creative ways to play it. You'll need patience at first but if you're a fan it's worth bearing with!

A great LCG that I’d recommend to all
I have played 4 solo games and have enjoyed everyone even though I’ve not won every game. It’s not a problem as part of the game is making your own decks but to play with iron man or she hulk you have to take apart the captain marvel starter deck meaning you can’t play it with them. They do give you an alt list for captain marvel though

Superb game - great value
I got this for £25 which is super value. The game is excellent with very decent lifespan although you probably won't be able to help buying additional packs. It works brilliantly solo and also at lower player counts. The cooperative nature of it works really well and there is plenty of puzzle around choosing the best actions. The theme is really fun, of course. If you have read about it and it appeals to you, I'm sure you can't go wrong here.

The game is awesome, I'm addicted

A lot of game play in one box.
There is quite a lot of rules overheard and upkeep between rounds that is challenging initially but becomes easier with experience. The game flows really nicely once you pick it up. There is a bunch of content, 5 heroes, 3 villains to play at 2 difficulty levels. Not to mention the customization of the decks. There is hours and hours of entertainment here - you would only need to splash into new hero of villain packs if they interest you. My only criticism is that the game drags a little beyond 2 players. It's really best at 3 max in my opinion.

Marvel fun but a bit anticlimactic.
Got this as have some marvel fun with my son and it does provide some good times where you do feel like the character you're playing. The downside is that the end of each encounter is a pure maths exercise where you add up if you can kill the boss this turn which feels like a bit of a let-down as there is variance at all. If that sounds like your thing them go for it. If not and you're not stuck on marvel I'd recommend The Arkham Horror series.

Great game - Especially for Marvel Fans
This is really fun game to play, especially for Marvel Fans. I would say that the fact it is a game based entirely around the marvel universe and the characters it probably carries the game slightly, but would highly recommend. Great game to play by yourself or with 2-max 3 players. Above 2 players does slow the game down considerably. Slightly confusing to begin with, however, after a few plays you get the hang of the game and it is really enjoyable. It is also worth noting that this core set is great value for money, with a ton of scenarios and replay ability.

Amazing game, nice starter set with enough options. But the She Hulk deck was missing card nr. 1 to 5..., the seal of the foil seemed to have a manufacturing error. Was really looking forward to this game, kinda bummed :(

This is an absolutely cracking game! Each player takes the role of a member of the Marvel pantheon and, through a delightfully simple customisation system for advanced players, each character is played in entirely different ways. Iron Man and Black Panther must suit up before they can start start really breaking out, but when they do they'll shred the opposition. Powerhouses, Captain Marvel and She Hulk, deliver ground-shaking blows but also offer complexity and can take the hurt. And then there's Spider-Man. He's the one you learn to play first with Captain Marvel for the second Player. Our beloved wall-crawler is dynamic, uncomplicated and diverse: the perfect all-rounder. The game allows for up to 4 players to play simultaneously, and with each player phase done, the Villain takes their turn. The game comes with 3 fully customisable Villain decks, each with their own difficulty levels. Start with Rhino, build confidence, make him tougher and get the feel of the heroes. Then take on the unpredicable Klaw at his easiest difficulty. Sooner or later you'll get the courage to take on the game's tier 3 Villain: Ultron. Use everything you've learnt and you will take him down. Then set him to full power and feel the sheer terror of him taking the Multiverse as he clouds the skies with drones. This game recommends 12+ age. I've had children of a much younger age knocking Ultron around - the tough part is making sure they respect the cards (and their wording). This can be a great hobby or focus tool with supervision. With this version of the game you can, should you enjoy it as much as I have, buy the expansions box and blister sets. I recommend these, too, but for the right price look for the player's favorite characters first! For instance, some characters are their own blister packs, ie: Captain America, Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, while others appear in the Box Sets (that come with SSOOOOO much more) such as Shadowcat and Colossus, Rocket and Groot. The game does come with counters. I recommend a small tray to keep them accessible in-game, but other than that this game comes with everything. The more players, the more table space you are going to require. Excellent replayability and advanced players will enjoy customising every aspect of the games to come. You will spend about 45 mins per game but you'll lose hours if you love the game.

This is such a fun game for a group and especially solo. It takes a little bit of reading to understand the cards, but once you do it’s easy and fun to play. I recommend if you want a themed, in-depth card game. It also comes with everything you need to start playing right away. This is not for kids 14 or younger.
