Pop-Arty! - 500 pcs Jewelry Making Kit

I got this for my 2.5yr old to use as a toy and counting tool. The colors are nice, they are not too childish which I appreciate. With the right color combinations, they even look like adult jewelry from a distance. My toddler is able to pop the beads together but takes several attempts on each pair of beads to succeed. It’s a great toy for us to play together but will probably be too frustrating if you intend for your young child to play alone. I also use it as a counting tool to teach the concept of 10s instead of having to invest in another specialized set of Montessori beads for that. 500 beads sounds a lot but is actually just sufficient. The 150 beads and 275beads sets have different design beads and seems to be great add ons to the 500 beads set. There is some space in the 500beads container which will allow you to store the extra beads from the 150 beads set. The size of the holes are not precise meaning some of the beads fit on loose while others are difficult to pop in. But most of the beads work well so it’s not a deal breaker. I think it’s a great open-ended toy and will buy it as gifts for other children.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend's daughter and we've spent hours making jewerly with these beads. Some are a bit hard than others to snap on but once you get popping, they become more easy to put together. Really great for being creative and mix and matching the differnet colors, prints and textures so the sky is the limit! Stays tidy with the carry case it comes in with easy to clean up and put away on a shelf. Great buy for the money and I would say suitable for 5 and older. Older kids would probably have fun creating some more difficult pieces. Relly fun set and great quality, would definitely buy again.

I’m an early 90’s baby and I remember how much I enjoyed playing with similar beads when I was a child. I purchased this set for my 5yo and it totally lived up to my expectations. I spent a good hour reading reviews for different sets of these beads. A lot of them came with more beads, different colors, headbands, bags and other cool stuff but they all seemed to have the same issue... the beads didn’t fit together or hold once put in place. I choose these beads because of the great reviews about durability/quality and I’m glad I did. I can safely say every bead fit and held together perfectly. A few, maybe four or five, took a little effort to get on but I expected as much. Once the tougher beads were popped into place a couple times they became easy to put together. These beads have had probably 6+ hours of playtime so far and not a single one has broken. My DD absolutely loves them. I’m sure she will be using these for years to come. If you’re here reading reviews and trying to decided which beads to get, take my advice and get these!

Many of the kids I work with lack fine motor strength. I wanted a toy that would make fine motor activity fun and not stressful. As I work mainly with girls, this set of beads seemed to be ideal. The beads come in a nice large plastic storage container. The lid easily twists off. Inside the bucket is filled with beads of all different shapes, colors and textures. Yes this set is so complete. I have seen colorful beads before but to have them with textures, added an additional sensory component that most beads lacked. Some are smooth and others are bumpy. This is just so great. I also liked that they not only came in multiple colors, but some of the colored ones had patterns to them. They are so pleasing to the eyes, my gils enjoyed working with them. They made bracelets and rings. They had fun making crowns and necklaces. With so much to work with, the possibilities are endless. I am very happy with the fine motor skills as well as creativity this set of beads offers. They really have a lot that will keep the kids entrained and learning for a long time.

If you want your kid to be distracted for hours without an iPhone, iPad or equivalent you will make the right choice with this product. Several years ago my then 4 years old girl got the previous version as a gift, it was mostly colored in various shades of green and yellow (this is one has way fancier colors and it looks very nice) but the functionality was the same: just build whatever comes to mind using connected beads, it is a like a Lego for beads, ingenious and calling for creativity. My daughter is now 9 and sometimes I've found her playing with this thing, trying to build more complex structures. What children toy can give you 5+ years of fun and still remain as good and as usable as the first time? So we bought this new version for one our nieces and she is already having a blast. I highly recommend this toy, the only issue might be that some of the connectors are hard to push/remove in/from some beads depending of the shape being built, but eventually the child will learn how to do it and stop asking for help. Which might not be a bad thing anyway, you can always join the fun with your kid

Our 5 year old daughter's favorite Christmas gift! She has played with it for hours. Even her siblings have occasionally joined her when she has let them. Went up in price when I was able to buy them, but they have been well worth it.

I'm a teacher and have a few students working with an OT. He was telling me that most of his students on his caseload were struggling with snapping these beads together. I decided to purchase these and leave them out for my students to play with during an indoor recess. To my surprise, I even had some students (grades 3-5) that had slipped under the radar and surprised me by having difficulty with these. I have only had them out for about two weeks and I have to say that all of my students have enjoyed playing around with these. Some of the kids that struggled slightly are already showing improvement. So, while this is marketed for children around 4 years old, this is a valuable toy/tool for all elementary school-aged kids. They're fun and they help those underworked fine motor skills.
