I had a damaged skin barrier from over exfoliation and this cream really helped with healing my skin.

I have very sensitive skin that reacts unhappily with environmental changes and stress/age factors.This IS the only lotion I have found that will hydrate my skin (specifically face and neck) without irritation or pilling or gunk.It is lightweight for what it is but locks moisture in and doesn’t burn or cause itching.It isn’t meant to be worn under makeup and I recommend it for nighttime or as part of your moisturizing routine.NOTE: If you have incredibly itchy and red/inflamed/rash-prone skin, please do consult a dermatologist or those why have similar issues. Nothing works until you get to the root of the issue: whatever is causing the itching and inflammation or rashes or dryness.Be well.

Kiehl's Centella Cica Cream is my absolute go-to when my face is mad at me. Sunburn? Slathering it on. Irritation from peel off masks and acidic products? Layering up. Allergic reaction and breaking out in hives? Give it to me. Red patches and flaky skin from acne treatment? You guessed it.This is not an every day moisturizer. It's too thick and luxurious to hold makeup in place.
