This product is quite expensive, But I’m happy I bought it because I’ve been working with a lot of thin, slippery materials lately In my sewing projects—most recently, fine mesh illusion and silk georgette. You really have to soak the fabric with this spray and leave flat until at least partially dry; he fabric will stretch out with hanging. But then it handles like a fine cotton fabric for cutting and sewing, I found that I could use a steam iron on my stabilized fabrics without reducing the stabilization. What a nice surprise was that the spray didn’t release toxic fumes. I had to use it in an enclosed space. My husband was 10 feet away and didn’t even notice! Initially, I was not going to buy this because it is expensive, and after some research, I found out that you could simply dissolve plain gelatin in water, soak your fabric in that and let air dry. That produced excellent stabilization. But.I found that storing the gelatin solution in the refrigerator reduced it’s effectiveness, and it was turning a strange color. So the cost and inconvenience of preparing a new gelatin solution for every project made the spray more attractive.

This is my first time (new to sewing) using a fabric stabilizer, so I have nothing to compare to, but it worked as advertised for me so I am happy!

I really like the stability this products provides. I purchased this for a machine embroidery project and it works great. I like the hold it provides to the fabric. THe only hold out for me is that you have to thoroughly wet the fabric. This is kind of messy if you don't really have a place to wet it down thoroughly. However that is the only drawback to this product.

I used those product on white 100% cotton fabric. It stiffened the fabric well but it left a yellow tint. Not good if you plan not to wash the the piece afterwards.

It didn’t have the top on it that spray comes out of. Had to pull one off another spray can and it didn’t help stabilizer stick to fabric.
