This stuff is great
I've used this for years. Love it. Smells good and removes dirt and even greasy spots very well. So much nicer than using a water type cleaner that takes too long to dry.

Good Product
The product was easy to use and cleaned up very well. This container cleaned two 8x12 rugs. I didn't find that it left any type of smell and all the cleaner vacuumed up completely. I wouldn't say that it will take out stains, but it does give a nice refresh for everyday carpet dirt. I would buy again.

It's worth it, it WORKS!
Love this product, I've been using it for years now. I have an Oreck Orbiter that I use with this product and it is way better than wet-cleaning your carpets, especially if you have dogs. The smell is light and it really does take the "dog" odor out of our house. I really like the fact that after an hour you can just vacuum up the powder and poof, you are done! I will continue to use this product as long as it's available. I find it a lot easier to come by then the Oreck brand of dry cleaner.

Carpet is like new again! (but change vacuum filters often)
A dry cleaner was recommended by the flooring professional that restretched my carpet. I moved into a 16 year old condo with bumpy carpet. After getting the carpet restretched I used my wet shampooer which worked ok. It seemed like every 2 or three months spots and stains would reappear. My first plan was to use the Capture dry shampoo in between shampoos. I realized the stains were just seeping up from the pad when I used the wet shampoo. The dry is a little easier to use and does not really require "dry" time. I spray the pre treatment then sprinkle the powder and brush that it; lightly for general cleaning and vigorously for stains. After about an hour I will vacuum it. Make sure to run the vacuum over the cleaned area several times. Sometimes it keeps looking better after a few vacuums. Make sure you change your vacuum air filter or wash the foam ones often. I have spares so its no problem to change the filter after doing a couple of rooms. This helps all the particulate get picked up. The particulate was only off white so I wondered if it was really working. I took a little of the used powder from the vacuum and put it in a glass jar with some water. It turned to dark brackish water with a lot of gunk in it so I feel like its doing at least as good a job as the wet shampoo. It looks and feels fresher so I'll use the dry shampoo as my primary cleaner. I almost look forward to cleaning the outdoor furniture now - it will be so much easier than the wet shampoo!!

It really works!
Capture is excellent! I used it for the first time 40 years ago and for the most recent time last Saturday! Still a great product. I don't ever use steam cleaning. Capture dries quickly and my carpet is fluffy, not crunchy. Use it once and it's all you'll use!

How can so many positive reviews be so wrong for me
How can a product with so many great reviews not work for my rugs? I have two 100% Wool rugs. I followed the instructions on the box to a T after I vacuumed my rugs. Lightly sprayed, applied a light layer of cleaning powder, used the brush to work it into the rug/ fibers. The brush has now an awful lot of my rug fibers on it and it’s super hard to get the brush cleaned off. I applied a light pressure but it’s really rough on the fibers. I waited 45 minutes on my smaller blue rug and 1 hr on my off white rug. I have a Dyson Vacuum that really sucks the dirt out of everything. On the highest power setting it had trouble getting some of the white powder out of the rug. The spots on my off white rugs are barely any lighter, def not gone. So, I gave it a little time, and then applied a second treatment. Same thing… spray, powder, brush. Another 30 min… and the spot is still there. A bit lighter maybe but I think it’s also because not all the white powder seemed to come off it. Video show the rug AFTER cleaning. My blue rug literally looks unchanged. So maybe it just doesn’t work on wool? Thoroughly disappointed in the effectiveness and the cleaning power of this cleaner. There is however no stickiness after cleaning. I give it that. Return has been started… I’m going back to my trusted recipe that I found on YouTube by some guy cleaning car upholstery… it works for all my furniture. I’ll give it a try on my rug… want the recipe? Here it is… Dawn platinum 6oz 99% rubbing alcohol 6oz Oxi clean maxforce 1oz Rest of it hot water (Total volume should come to 32oz) Apply and rub it into the fabric with a Microfiber cloth, use a second, lightly moist microfiber clothes to remove the suds after cleaning, then a third, dry cloth to remove as much moisture as possible. Let dry…

Sorta works, for large areas I would use a machine still.
Left behind white residue even after scrubbing and vacuuming with a shop vac. Did not work on low pile carpet. Obvious stains left behind. It worked about 50% as good as shown. If your carpet has light staining it may work better for you. 3 Stars as it is better than nothing though it is a pain/mess (and you will absolutely want to make sure you vacuum up all the dust carefully!) I would try the product again on less tightly knit carpet or on newer stains.
