Scout Dog Bed

My girls love this bed...it is not a solid surface..the bed does give...some dogs really don't like that..they use it where I can keep an eye on them in case they get stuck..for a bigger dog..i don't think there would be an issue..my guys are small. But they love to share it...great bed!!Update.. just washed the cover and it came out beautiful...i let it hang on the line for an hour or so, then tossed it in the dryer for 45 min on medium...came out really nice!Update...my cat kept taking this bed...so I bought a 3rd one...she loves it.

I bought the 36-inch size. It fits my 50-lb doodle just about perfect. My 40-lb doodle also uses it, but if I had bought the next smaller size it should have been OK for her. I also have an 75-lb Lab who fits only from the shoulders down--her head hangs completely off the side--you'd think that would be uncomfortable for her but she seems to like it. After just a couple of months usage, the center of the bed is almost flat but the edges are nice and fluffy so it has sort of a "bowl" shape that the dogs seem to just sink into. I'm giving it only 4 stars because I think there should be at least SOME cushioning in the middle that doesn't go flat. I'm thinking about cutting out a 36-inch circle of 2" memory foam and shoving it in there.

Great product for the price! It’s huge! My shepherd/husky fit in this with room for a second dog. She weighs 60lbs. The removable cover makes it really easy to clean. The only room for improvement would be the pillow itself could use a little more stuffing. With that being said, I still think it’s a great product for the price!

I just rec'd this bed x2 and cannot believe how thin the fuzzy sherpa side is. I am sure that my dogs will quickly punch holes in it just stepping on it. My 125 lb dog seems to like it since it is very soft, but I am using the opposite side of the bed which seems a bit sturdier. Filling is thin also, and I'm going to put a blanket inside to fill it up a bit. Very disappointed, but these days it seems that you cannot get a quality dog bed without spending $100. I'm not willing to spend that as my dogs are old and these are intended to be extras for our patio. If you want a thick sturdy dog bed, spend more $ and do not buy this one.

We thought this bed was similar to one that we bought from Petsmart five years ago but it is not. This one is a lot worse. After a couple weeks it will begin to get matted down. If you want to buy pillows to add to the bed you cannot has the bed does not have any zipper on the interior compartment. There are also dividers on the inside compartment which attempt to keep the fluffing separated. This actually causes a problem but we were able to rip them. We had to rip the lining in order to add pillow material to keep the bed fluffy. When you wash the cover it sheds a lot more than our old bed. Not worth the $$!

I have two beagles, right around 25 pounds, and the Extra Small Size was ideal for them. They prefer to sleep curled up and there is sufficient space around them so they do not have to squeeze onto the surface. Even if they sprawl out, only their feet will hang over the side.The cover is machine washable, which is a huge plus. The interior pad was recently updated (this is our second pair purchased) and is now water-resistant. This helps with stains, odors, and dirt not leaking through, into the filling material. You can clean the interior pad like you would clean a countertop (spray solution, wipe clean with a towel).Most of all, these are very comfortable, as proven by the copious amounts of rest the beagles take part in. We've had these for over a year and they are holding up wonderfully.My only gripe is I wish they sold replacement covers. It would be nice to have a replacement pair ready to go at all time.

Looks like the bed cover is very adequate too good. Appears to be decent quality. The padding in the bed is absolutely ridiculous. They basically stuffed the bed with three globs of padding. The middle of the bed and the areas between each glob of padding is the floor. If a small dog laid in the middle of this bed it would actually be lying on the floor. The pictured item is nothing like what I received. If it were like the picture I would be happy.

I am really disappointed in this bed. I have been buying it consistently for the past 4 years for my dog (I get her a new one every year) and the last two I received seemed to be made very cheaply. When I unboxed it I noticed the stitching was already coming undone and the stuffing was not as fluffy as it usually is. I requested a replacement and I just received it today and it is worse than the first one. It was not in any kind of plastic wrapping so I believe I received a bed that had already been returned. I will not be buying this bed again. It is not what it used to be. My sister has been using this same bed for her dog and also had to return the last one she ordered. She had the same issues I did. I’m super bummed because this used to be the best bed and my dog loved it!
