The Village People are one of the most iconic/infamous groups from the disco era. Amazing to think the gay stereotypes so clearly identifiable today were missed by the vast majority of the public back in the late 70s. Gay culture was deep underground unlike today. The gay sexual references were lost on most listeners. The studio group recorded some of the catchiest disco pop records of all time. This 3 disc set has to be the best value and most comprehensive collection of the their recordings that includes all the hits from across their career featuring tracks from every album they released. Disc 3 comprises 12 inch mixes of their biggest hits. Excellent.

I was playing Village People songs as a DJ quite a while before YMCA hit and before any videos etc of them being shown in the UK. My old 7" vinyl of their early songs are worn and are not so 'pop' targeted as YMCA onwards. Essentially I purchased this to be able to listen to the likes of San Francisco & Fire Island again, added bonus being the extended mixes being included.

Reminds me of school disco back in late 70's - quality reproduction, love to sing along but hubby doesn't approve!

I am a fan of Village People since the vinyl days and later bought some of their output on cd as well. Not only the price but the comprehensiveness of this sampler is the best deal I could imagine. Only disappointment: no notes on the band or the chart figures of the singles. And i just don`t understand why the titles are not in historical order. To see the development of a musician it is really helpful to have them in chronological order. Else, a very good collection.

Nice thought to have all hits on one cd but their hit are put across the three cds so many tracks not good so find your self forwarding the not so good track.

I used to be a DJ and always loved The Village People and my partner bought me this as a present to cheer me up......this CD is a set of three-excellent value for money and the sound quality is great. Few I don't know so well but it is great to sing along to in the car trying not to simultaneously start making the moves to the YMCA dance!!! Five stars!!

Je suis entièrement satisfais de ce coffret composé de 44 chansons réunies sur 3 CD.Tous leurs hits s’y retrouvent.Sur le deuxième CD il y a quelque Remix tel que : ‘’Y.M.C.A’’ et ‘’Can’t Stop The Music’’ des Remix de 1993.Il y a aussi le Megamix de 1998 : ‘’We Want You’’.Le troisième CD est composé de 12 chansons en différentes version, ainsi que des versions longues.Il y a aussi : ’’Y.M.C.A. ‘’ en version [Millennium Mix].Je suis très heureux de pouvoir ajouter cet album à ma collection.De plus le son est excellent car il a été remasterisé.Cet album est sortir en 2019 sous Demon Music Group Ltd.
