KoskaHalva Pistachio, 400-Gram Boxes (Pack of 2)

I love Halvah. I cannot seem to get it anymore in my local grocery store so I turned to Amazon. This brand is delicious, good value for the money and filled with pistachios. A great snack.

I'm a bonafide halvah-lover, ... so I haven't met a halvah yet that I didn't appreciate to some degree. The pros and cons (in my opinion) of this Koska brand "Tahin Helvasi", (as the product is labeled, and which translates in english as "Tahini Halvah")...Pros; Good price compared to other brands, (about eight bucks a pound when I ordered a two-pack, with free shipping via Amazon). Decent flavor, especially with the pistachios mixed in. It's also packed well in two resealable plastic rectangular containers.Cons; A slightly unusual texture, with a lighter and more crumbly texture than most halvahs I've tried. I think this may be a result of the "emulsifier" listed in the ingredients. The only other "con" is that it's not made with real vanilla. Overall, I still like it and would recommend you give it a try.Here are the listed ingredients; "Sesame paste (57%), sugar, Pistachios (8%), Emulsifier (E471), Saponaria root extract, Acidity regulator (E330), Nature-identical vanillin aroma."

Hadn't had halvah since I was a kid, so I bought a couple of boxes and took one with me to the senior center and passed it around- everyone that tried it liked it, bar none. I'd forgotten how much I liked it! Many of the people there had never even heard of halvah before, let alone tasted it. This particular brand, Koska, I like a lot- the crumbly but sticky texture, the natural sweetness, the pistachios: I'll be reordering before long- again. I'd definitely recommend Koska brand if you want to try halvah for the first time: that way, when the first box is gone- and it WILL disappear- you'll have a second box right there.

Fantastic barky, creamy Halvah! Pistachio at that, (my favorite), and nice crunchy pieces of the pistachios throughout.

Absolutely delicious! I really liked it. It tastes just mhyam...) No palm oil or any other oil you do not want to encounter in such products. Very good taste (not too sweet) and texture. A lot of pistachios inside!

Fantastic; some of the best halva I've had, and this seller was EXTREMELY prompt. Besides that, it's a good deal -- halva can be a little spendy to get here in the US, but this is as cheap as I've seen it (two boxes, remember!).5/5, without a doubt.-- Will

The halvah was fine, but it turns out I can get the same product at a nearby falafel place - same make, size - for $6.95 a package.

Absolutely delicious. Fluffy creamy yet crisp. Pistachios are crunch and add flavor. Rich delicious taste and texture. Great product.
