I am absolutely amazed by the way stories presented in this book at level 1 reading. Images are engaging, the well selected simple 3 to 4 letter words form interesting story that keeps my kid engaged in reading so he gets to know what happened next. It's much better than the other phonics books at level 1.... no wonder since its Julia donaldson. Only downside is other level books from this series are so expensive that the joy of reading good books becomes unachievable at this early stage.

I bought many other stage 1 books, but my 5 year old son is addicted to this. It is very scientifically designed book, with short repetition words. I would strongly recommend this as the first story book for any Stage 1 reader.

Very nice and helpful book for early reading. Colourful pictures and small and easy words which young kids can read themselves.

A great book for beginners . My niece loves it and its a great book to practice phonics without putting strain on kids. A must buy.
