My sister loaned me her Purely Yours pump. So nice to be able to order this set and be ready to go! Also loved that the kit arrives sterile and put together ready to use. I was so confused after reading the assembly instructions in the pump manual, then when the kit arrived ready to use I was a)relieved! b)able to see how it all went together--a breeze to do once I had actually seen it.

As other reviews have stated, the inserts reduce the suction of the pump. If you have an adjustable pump you can set the suction higher to compensate. The fit is much improved for larger nipples and makes pumping much more comfortable.

I got an Ameda breast pump for free through my insurance. It's not as nice (or quiet) as the hospital grade Medela, but it gets the job done and overall it works fine. But as someone who needs the 28.5 mm, I'm not pleased with the design of these flanges. The 28.5 is supposed to fit inside the 30; it's not a standalone flange. It fits fine, but it doesn't click in, so it falls out really easily unless you hold it on. A hands-free pumping bra or bustier can prevent this from happening, but it's still an extra annoyance and it's two more parts to wash. Why not just make a standalone 28.5 mm flange? Seems silly to me.

I purchesed these flanges so that I would have an extra set; the shipping was super fast and price is fair but the shipping cost more than the item so if you get these buy more than one set. Now about the actual flange all I can say is OMG!! I thought I was doing something wrong and that my supply was slowing down....oh no I was mistaken I guess the normal flange is just to small and not correctly stimulating but these solved that problem. I am now getting 2-3 more ounces per pumping session. Good thing I found these early on in my expressed milk journey.

The inserts are dumb. I ended up ordering a Medela Flange and putting it on the Ameda pump. MUCH more comfortable and less parts to clean.

i purchased 3 sets of these and they are 100% better than the 25mm ones my machine came with... like other reviewers have stated, it does make it so your pumping time is shorter and they are way more comfortable!Minus 2 stars for the flange within a flange design, again as another reviewer stated its completely stupid to have a flange within another flange just make 2 different ones in 2 different sizes and let people choose their size... the i feel like this design creates a few problems: 1) you can't see through (like i can with just 1 piece to look through) to make sure they are centered properly on your nipple.... and 2) theres more to wash! and thats just plain old annoying.... 3) they don't stay stuck together so if your traveling and you loose a center piece (like i did) your stuck using the too big size... and if you have really lost the 28.5mm center piece you cannot purchase just the inside you must buy all 4 parts again... 4) i do feel theres a slight loss of suction because of the double flange......bottom line:they are more comfy, fit better than what the machine came with but i sincerely wish the company would stop being lazy and redesign the flange....

I bought a used Ameda pump off of craigslist and then bought these replacement parts as suggested by my OBGYN. The motors on these pumps last forever and it is completley sanitary to just buy the parts new. Pumps are so expensive these days so I highly recomend this route. I got the replacement parts 2 days after I ordered them and they have been perfect since the moment I opened the package 6mo. ago. The Ameda storage bags are AWESOME too!
