Being a artist this book is very helpful. I refer to it when I'm using a different mediums when I haven't used in awhile and this book has excellent steps and tips on what to do.it's a great size and not to bulky and heavy to carry around and nice glossy pages and nice photos to look at with very clear directions on how to create that look when using that Art medium. It's one of my favorite books. It's a book that I would highly recommend purchasing. The price is very reasonable on what you get that's in that book.

Excellent book...don't pass this one up if you are just beginning to learn about drawing, painting and so on. I can recommend this book without reservation.

Lots of really good instruction on watercolor, acrylic, pastel, charcoal and pencil. Most of the art "instruction" books I've seen are very short on detailed information - not this one. Each exercise is very clearly explained in a lot of detail, and beautifully illustrated. A great buy, especially for the price.

This is an old book, but I wanted it. The seller's description of the book is as described. However, I have another book by the author and a lot of information in both books are more than similar. The 5 stars are for the seller, for the book I would give it 3.
