Organic Rooibos (Red Bush) Tea (50g Taster Pack)

Quite bland as Rooibos teas go. I had high hopes for this, but am disappointed with quite how bland it is - not at all what I expected.I normally have Sainsburys Fairtrade Rooibos bags, that are rich, full flavoured , woody and fruity to taste. Even using a large spoonful of the TML Rooibos, and letting it stew for longer than recommended, I still got quite an insipid cuppa.Sorry TML, I won't be making a repeat order.

I drink a lot of loose Chinese teas, mainly oolong and black, and I’m regular with my staple PG tips in the morning, but I’m trying to go caffeine free for a while so this is my first proper attempt with rooibos. I was very impressed to find that with a good three minute brew and just a splash of milk, this tea is rich, spicy and refreshing. It’s a great substitute for a breakfast tea as it has the full body and rounded, refreshing lift that a good morning tea needs, I’m very happy with it. I can’t speak to whether it’s better than other rooibos makers but I’m going to be cautious about another brand as this one is so good. The caddy is smart and practical, not much to add there.

Everything arrived as expected the itself has nice flavour but would not buy loose again as tea is very fine and escapes through sieve into cup so very bitty to drink. Next time l'll buy in a tea bag.!!

Tried this before and switched to some other organic bland one, but the other one didn't taste as rich as this one. So I switched back to this one. It's not exactly cheap but I don't have to use tons of tea leaves to make dark tea when with other bland, I had to use a lot to make my tea rich

Going caffeine-free for a month was a challenge, but this delicate & tasty tea is a great help; no tannic after-taste, refreshing, & tastes mighty good served cold with a little lemon or lime 🍋 recommended!

Its a lovely tea, but misses out on the full 5 stars due to a slightly bitter aftertaste which I haven't noticed in redbush tea before, and I drink a lot of it, still nice tea and a better flavour than the bagged varieties.

About a teaspoonful brewed for four minutes works for us.

Wife's favourite loose leaf tea so can't go wrong with this, and a very stylish caddy makes this a good buy
