Budding ready
These showed up as a dead looking stick bush (dormant). I kept them I'm the container wrapped plastic, sat them in the rain and sun for a few days because we couldn't get them planted yet. Poof...buds everywhere. They are in the ground as of today. Excellent quality!

Beautiful, healthy plant
I was very hesitant to order online, however I am glad I took the gamble! The plant arrived quickly, was packaged beautifully, and was much larger than anticipated and healthy! So impressed I had to leave a review. 😊

Dying Quickly
The plant arrived quickly and looked healthy. We planted it a few days later and since then it has been quickly withering and dying. We followed the planting instructions and the shrub grows in my area (a few of my neighbors have them) but for some reason it is not thriving. It is next to some viburnum that are completely fine. I am not a total novice to gardening and this is the first shrub that this has happened with. Hopefully others will have better luck than I did but this was a fail for me.

shipping and plant
well when delivered the box looked like it had been through hell and back just to be truthful here....once opened I noticed a couple broken branches but overall the plant was still beautiful. My suggestion is to not use UPS cause the box was scary looking ! BUT!.... I can't wait to plant this plant and see the magnificent blooms in the future. Hopefully she'll be ok after that kind of delivery!

Gorgeous and healthy the first month! Now it's survival is very ‘iffy’, so sad to say...
Purchased June 1, 2021 (at full price). Please note: Some of the reviews were posted when received and are NOT always completely accurate. Read those AFTER they have had a chance to get acclimated to the new soil and surroundings. This will give you a better idea about this plant's survival and growth!Arrived without too much shipping damage (in comparison to others via UPS) and I carefully unpacked it and trimmed any loose and broken leaves, stems.Left it in the original container to adjust to new location and weather (N. NJ, zone 6) and constantly checked the soil for dryness.A couple of weeks later this plant/shrub was thriving beyond my wildest dreams! It had more buds on it than I could count and the leaves were nice and shiny - overall, extremely healthy!Several weeks later, after being acclimated to its surroundings, the landscapers put it in the ground, in a spot where it would be visible and admired from the road and by me (from both inside and outside of my townhouse).Having sooo many deer and rabbits, I was very happy that they left it alone! The reasons for buying this variety was due to the fact that it would have interest in the landscape for most of the year, changing with the seasons. I also have many birds and liked that they could eat the berries (supposedly) produced in the fall.As of now, Oct. 7th, 2021:Plant has been in the ground since June. It's been going downhill ever since and is now at the point where it's looking absolutely pitiful! The leaves are falling off, they are being chewed and getting holes from something (insects, flying and in-ground?), despite spraying and treating them with a solar gadget and granules.I don't know if it will be healthy enough to survive the rest of the year and produce the berries I was so excited to be getting pretty soon.I can only hope that it will recover from the current state and return next year much healthier and pleasing to look at!I'm not a novice when it comes to plants and gardening (doing it on and off for more than 40 years), plus I can always ask our small townhouse community landscapers for help and advice.I was planning to buy a couple more of these a few weeks later as this one was doing so well - boy, am I glad I waited! If possible, I will try to update my review with a few pictures of how it looks right now.Unfortunately, I didn't think to take any when the plant arrived.Hopefully this is a situation unique to me, because it's such a nice, versatile plant/shrub/bush, or whatever you want to call it! It has interest in the land- scape for at least 3 seasons, maybe 4, depending on what zone, state you are in!It's size and growth habit makes it quite suitable for use in many locations, whether alone or in combination with others - same or different types. The reason for giving 3*s, not 5, is based solely on my own experience.>>> As I buy items on Amazon that are not familiar to me based on the reviews of others, if you find this to be helpful, please mark it as such for future reference, thanks!

Fast shipping
The shrub arrived very quickly, packaged in a nice tall box, and was in very good condition. It's looking good so far, turning a lovely burgundy as the temperatures cool down. I could not find this cultivar anywhere locally and am very grateful that this was so easy to get.
