This is one of the lower cost solutions to lock your trailer. It will prevent someone that's unprepared from easily hooking up to your trailer and driving off. The metal is reasonably sturdy but could be broken or cut with minimal tools, and the key lock is surprisingly easy to pick. If someone comes prepared, this won't stop them from taking your trailer. But if someone is just driving by and thinks about taking your trailer, this is better than nothing. I don't regret the purchase but will need to add something more in addition to this.

I bought this for our older trailer that has no hole for a lock. It fits perfectly under a 2" tongue and looks the part. It is obvious enough and heavy-duty enough to be a deterrent but small enough to stow easily. The keys are interesting. I'm not sure if it is pick-resistant, but it looks cool anyway. I'm happy with the purchase.

My only problem is that it is made of plastic, I should have read closer. I could easily break it with a hammer. If you are leaving your trailer at a place for a long period. Don’t expect it to be there when you get back. I need it as a deterrent so it if fine for my application.

Works well as it is intended to. Will it stop some from just hooking up your trailer and driving away - Yes it’ll stop someone from just hooking up.Will it stop someone with a sledge hammer, no. Will it stop someone dedicated to steeling the trailer, no.

got two of these units for two trailers. they still are where I left them. so far so good. They are very solid, not flimsy. does the job. strongly recommend this unit.

We will keep it and use it on the boat trailer, but it would not reach over the top of the tongue on out 30' travel trailer. Still a good price.

Bought this for my 2010 passport trailer and it does not fit it is not wide enough to go over the hitch. Will only fit smaller hitches.
