I used this Modelones top coat over my press-on nails and it made a big difference in how long they lasted. I applied my press-ons using Beetles gel glue (cured with a UV lamp) and then sealed everything with this top coat, including the edges. It really helped lock everything in and added a smooth, glossy finish. The top coat applies evenly, cures well under a UV/LED lamp, and doesn’t feel thick or bulky. I used it over press-ons that were originally matte, and it gave them a really pretty shine while also adding durability. I had no lifting and the nails felt much more secure compared to not using a top coat. If you’re doing press-ons at home, adding a gel top coat like this definitely helps them last longer and makes them look more like a salon set. The dehydrator works instantly, it leaves the nail super dry within seconds, which helps the gel stick way better. The primer is acid based, so if you have any small cuts around your fingers, it will sting. But if your skin is intact, it applies without any issues. Ever since I started using this combo, my manicures last twice as long. No lifting, no peeling at the edges, no chipping. Everything stays in place as long as I prep the nails correctly. The smell is chemical (like most nail prep products), but nothing crazy or unbearable. And despite being acid, it didn’t irritate my skin or my actual nails at all. If you want your gel polish to actually last, this set makes a huge difference. Just be careful if you have broken skin because it does burn a little.

Love this product. I use gel polish. As you know, it's very important to keep both the base coat, gel polish and topcoat from bleeding over onto the skin and cracks around the actual nail bed. I used this product for the first time recently and learned that you must apply it with the same care that you do when actually polishing your nails. Cover only the area you want to protect! Also, I applied it liberally to the skin around the fingertip. This allows you to grab onto the latex with a snipper to lift it and pull it off of the finger when you are finished. Practice makes perfect. But for a first try I am very pleased with this product.

I’ve had these for about 2 years and I love them! They work great and my nails done come off unless I drill and soak them off! So I recommend!!

I love the color, it’s vibrant and shimmery. Super easy to use and the cat-eye effect comes out gorgeous with the magnet. Would definitely buy again. Also used Modelones 10-in-1 gel nail glue, short oval nail tips, and the Modelones base & top coat, and everything worked together perfectly.
