A must have for your 5.3L engine
You’ll need this if you want your engine to run in top shape. The oil catch can is of great quality and functions great at catching oil from blowby. At the price, it’s totally worth it. It fits perfectly and installs in less than 20 min

Item appears to be made of good quality
Ok I’ve had the cheap oil can collectors when I had my f150 eco boost. It worked just fine and was 100$ cheaper, but this oil separator came from an American company and the best part was the online installation video. It shows where to place the oil separator housing and how to disconnect and reconnect the lines. This may be trivial to some but it is nice knowing how to disconnect a line instead of trying to figure it out for yourself. Item cost more but IMO it seems to be worth it. The steel screen that collects the oil vapors and turns it into oil droplets to be collected while the clean air moves on to your intake is of much higher quality than the cheaper ones. They usually just use steel wool type products.

Fantastic!
Does exactly what it says it does. I've got one on my 6.2l and it fills up just as it should! Easy to install and easier to empty.

Installed on 2019 Silverado 6.2 ltr, Works but Instructions are vague
Works! Easy to install as well. The instructions didn't cover the 6.2 V8 very well. They had a section for the 6.2 in the instructions but it was not accurate. The long hose needs to attach to the front of the intake manifold right by the throttle body. The instructions showed installing it at the middle and bottom of the intake manifold. The catch can is made well and it works. The picture with the oily residue in the can is after about 300 miles of normal 50/50 city and highway driving. I emptied about 3 ounces of liquid out of the catch can.

THE name in catch cans
It still blows my mind that trucks don’t come stock with a catch can. I installed this on my 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ with the 6.2L V8. Install on the 6.2 is much easier than on the 5.3, and becomes even more simple if you have an aftermarket cold air intake. Altogether took me about 15 minutes with about 5 being checking and double checking connections. All I needed was a Phillips head and a 10mm even though it calls for a few more tools. J&L (formerly JTL) is the most renowned name in catch cans. Instructions were easy to follow and came with a YouTube video if you need visual assistance. Couldn’t recommend more highly, every vehicle should have a catch can. Especially trucks that will be driven hardware. Clean and empty every 3000 miles (I have the extension, check every 1500 miles without)
