Uncomfortable, scratchy
It's an affordable pen that looks nice with an ink converter that works. But to get any flow and a fine line, you need to hold the pen almost vertically. That's uncomfortable and causes the pen to scratch the paper. The nib is largely hidden inside the end of the pen and is poor quality.

Great value pen
Received today and so far it is perfect. Simple but effective design, cartridge filled easily and works well with the Waterman ink I already had. Will withhold comfort review until I've had a chance to sit and write with it for a while as I feel the plastic grip section may prove uncomfortable during long writing sessions but we shall see.I love the design and the feel of the wooden barrell though and am definitely inclined to buy another so I can have multiple coloured inks on the go at once.

Good writing EF nib
Some "feedback" from the nib when writing which is expected from an EF nib. Mine writes well, and the converter is a nice inclusion.

Better than more expensive fountain pens
I love this pen. The inspiration is a Parker 51 I believe but it stands on its own as a good pen. It writes better than some of the more expensive pens that I've used. I bought the Jinhao 51A to use Diamine Registrar's permanent ink in a pen that I could afford to replace if it became corroded. The convertor is a bit flimsy but it does the job. So far the ink is flowing well in this pen despite being an iron gall ink in a hooded nib. It looks understated and more expensive than the price I paid for it although the 'wooden' section looks more like plastic.

It's real wood but you wouldn't know it.
Fantastic pen for the money, writes nicely and the included converter works fine.It doesn't feel like real wood and was a bit sweaty. I didn't think it was real wood but i tested it with a knife and there's real wood under the vanish! Sanded down the body and now it's much nicer.4 stars for easy to hold because the lid is very heavy compared to the pen so you can't write with the lid put on the back of the pen.

Nib is a little scratchy on thin paper
This is a really nice well made pen. The ink flows well enough but I find it to be a little scratchy when writing on thinner paper. It seems a lot better on thicker paper. Overall it’s a nice pen to have

Fine nib that just glides....
I have several (much) more expensive pens - parker, waterman, cross etc. This is one of my favorites and go to pens. I only bought it based on positive reviews, past purchases of Chinese fountain pens & the fact that it was inexpensive helped... and this is surprisingly good, in that it is so smooth to write with and literally glides. Perfect if you prefer writing with a fine nib. Highly recommend.

Great pen
Took me a while to find a pen with a nib as fine as i personally enjoy, but it was well worth it. This is a fantastic pen, especially considering the price. I previously used a Parker 14k no.35 nib, and while it does have a thicker than ideal line, it writes phenomenally smoothly. When ordering I was a little worried that due to the price this pen might struggle to live up to it, but my worries were unfounded. This pen writes very smoothly, both in standard and reverse position. I ordered it in tiger wood, peach wood, and ebony, all of which are very nice, though I think my favourite is the tiger wood.Really cannot recommend this pen enough, especially if you like a thinner nib but don't want to sacrifice smoothness that often comes with larger nibs.(For reference I have used this pen with both Parker and Mont Blanc ink. I find I prefer Mont Blanc.)
