Has anyone worn these as board shorts / swim trunks for women for water sports or rafting? How do they do?

I have worn them on numerous paddle trips. Not totally soaked, but muddy and damp. I have no doubt they would perform well as water shorts. They definitely hold up to water wear in my case.

What color is pond gray or green?

Hard to describe but I would say it's sort of a gray blue/green. I like it a lot.

Size choices are 10x13, is that a size 10?

The size is 10. The length is 13 inches.
