Wave-Length Pickup System

good sounding concert pickup. Better than most OEM pickups to my ears. Surpisingly close to the natural sound of the guitar. you need to have holes drilled into saddle slot if they aren't there already. recommend a professional do this. I put it into a guitar I built so I did it myself. No volume/tone control included but you can buy seperately. Overall all the cable lengths were long enough which was something I worried about since my bridge is quite far forward. unplugged sound will suffer a bit because this is an undersaddle. Since I built 2 guitars and put the d-tar in one and a k&k holy trinity in the other that glues only onto the bridge plate I can say the sound is maybe 85% of the quality unplugged because of the undersaddle pickup... not as bad as I thought it would be but still not the same. That was just my case though.

I recently purchased a guitar with a Wavelength installed. I noticed a drop in volume, thinking that the batteries needed to be replaced I found that one of the AA batteries was not seated tightly in the holder, not making contact on the positive side. I replaced the battery and it would not stay in place, leaving me with a guitar I can not play out with. Did DTAR not learn from Taylor's bad experience using AA batteries. I contacted sales at DTAR to see what their response will be. Not holding out too much hope. Probably will remove the system and replace it with a Fishman infinity.

These are great pickups. I use them in a Koaloha Tenor Ukulele. More headroom does make a difference, especially for ukuleles. And at least now I don’t have to go looking around for 9v batteries. So much more convenient to use the AA batteries. Also these are best with the volume and tone knobs.

The best pickup. 18V. Not 9V. Even makes a 2x4 sound like a guitar.

This pickup is a work of art. Sounds amazing and is easy to install. I tried many others and found this one to be the best.
