LEGO 75038 Star Wars Jedi Interceptor

Great set! My order arrived right on time and in good condition. It wasn't a challenging build, but that wasn't the point. The set is well designed, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The flick missiles are unnecessary, but are fun. They really mean it when they warn you not to fire at other people. The missiles use springs, and travel a good ten feet. The wings are well secured to the cockpit part with the "tick" kind of fasteners. The wings are flat or downward, not a lot of room to fall off or break. The sets pretty close to the way it looked in the movie and R2D2s' color is darker, making him look more real. The flimsiest part is the one piece cockpit, which wiggles a bit on the pieces its fastened to when you lift it up. They used a sticker instead of real controls, but aside from that, its a cheap and fun addition to any ones Lego collection. It would be a good present, particularly for younger kids.

My grandson asked for the Jedi Interceptor for his birthday in September. Naturally, he loved it and had it completely together in two days and loves playing with it. He started playing with LEGOS when he was 4 and it's his favorite activity when he can't be outside playing. LEGO teaches kids how to follow directions, as well as how things go together. I know that my grandson has learned patience better by playing with LEGOS than any other way. We bought him a lot of the Star Wars mini-figures, so he can pretend-play Star Wars scenarios.

This was a fun Lego kit to put together with my kids, but it was a bit more than other chain stores. I ended up getting from here since the shipping was free and 2 days. I was happy to pay a little more to avoid the Christmas holiday shopping rush towards the end. If it was any other time, I would have just got it from the chain store.

An excellent addition to my collection!! This lego kit was super fun and easy to build. The instructions were in full color and my 5 year old nephew was able to easily to assemble it, and play with it all day long. At the end of the day it makes for other fun builds for children to get creative. I would say this is a MUST for any star wars fan, or simply anyone who loves legos. Perfect for a birthday, Great gift for kids!

I got this set for my 5 year old son as a gift for being a straight A student in kindergarten. (Yeah, I know, what do they really do in kindergarten). Told him to take his time and I'm around if he needs any help. He had the interceptor done in about 15 minutes and it looks great. Only issue we had is that the part holding R2 is a little fragile and falls off easily. Other then that, this is another outstanding Lego set.

Great Lego! I purchased at $64.00. Now the value has gone up. You might as well get it if you are a collector. The Anakin figure alone that comes with it cost you $34.00 on Amazon and you also get R2-D2. What is not to like. Really not one I would recommend for play though. Just not that solid, but Obi-Wan's Jedi Interceptor is more sturdy. Both are great.

This is a great addition to my Lego collection. I've been collecting the 'small' Star Wars Legos (like the ones that come with the planets) and this one is by far the biggest one yet. It's pretty neat how the wings fold for 'landing' and it has R2D2. Do I need to say more? The instructions were a little difficult to follow even for a seasoned Lego builder, so pay close attention to the instructions. The wings are not shaped the same (one side has the astromech). The projectiles launch FAR! Do NOT aim at face! They were SERIOUS when they said that!

Ordered this for my grandson and he loves it. He's at an age (8) where he truly enjoys building Lego models such as these, which makes me, his grandpa, very happy because it takes him away from those often senseless and repetitive electronic games. He has developed many skills in doing this and others, including learning to read instructions and then make the correct assembly step, which are important not only today but in the future. A wise purchase for today's children.
