Excellent debut album. Some killer vocals and guitar playing. Recommended!

A Great album

Absolutely loved this band then and still do! I actually got this cd sooner than expected thanks to Speedy Hen!

I like that that are more songs I never heard from them before.

I owned this album back when it was originally released, saw it on here had to get it back again. I am a musical trash-can-junkie. I like just about everything to one extent or another. Being that I learned to play guitar listening to late-80's Hair Metal, I am much more lax on what I own from that period. My friend and I often joke that the song, "Never Let You Go," is "the song that killed Metal." Some people remember this song as being called, "Angel Eyes," because of the first line from each verse. It was the only song that really charted from the album and with the rest of the songs pushing 5 minuted or more it's understandable. They use just about every 80's Metal trick in the book. But with one of the best metal singers at the helm and great guitar work with extended solos, this album is a great addition to anyone that thinks the devil horns are made with the thumb out.

I had this on cassette and lost it when I moved so I'm happy I've got it replaced

I purchased this cd as a replacement for my husband's collection. The case had a crack in it, but the cd itself was fine!!! We believe the case may have suffered the crack during shipping, so we're still giving 5 srars

Another underrated, underpromoted, underappreciated, talented band from the 80's/90's !!! How shocking right ??? The pathology of stupidity within the music industry is as astounding as it gets ! The less talented and more controversial you are, as much sensationalism you can exhibit the more you were promoted ! Substance and skill takes a back seat to the banal and carnal !!! Steelheart is the offspring of Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, as far as style goes. Mike Matijevic sings his heart out with what seems to be a 4 octave throat of metal goodness. From the strong guitar duo to the thunderous rhythm section this band will rock your socks off. Buy it- try it- love it......

Decouvert grace à youtube, je me suis dis qu'il était grand temps de prendre le 1er album éponyme . Déjà le son d'époque (car le disque n'à pas été remasterisé) est très bon , un chanteur qui monte haut dans les aigus (essayez de faire les montées de she's gone...) , des solis shredders bien 80/90' . Le 1er morceau "love ain't easy"est une belle tuerie . "Can't stop' mid tempo groovy irrésistible plus joué en live depuis les 90 ...., le hit "she's gone" , véritable défi pour tous vocalistes qui se respectent : ....et ubercult en Asie . Un album dont je ne me lasserai jamais . Bref un disque comme on en fait plus paru en 1990 mais qui gère . Commandez le direct si vous êtes fans de hard us des 80/90' !

This band, Steelheart missed the gold rush during the hairbands of the 80s as they arrived in the 90s. The vocalist is nothing short of one of the best, with his singing used in the movie, Rock Star, starring MArk Wahlberg. There are many power ballads to enjoy, Lead guitar solos are melodic, clean and quick. Recording quality is excellent.
