I have this in Slate Gray. It is a great look for those who enjoy some shimmer. Classy, upscale vibe to it. I think the dark gun metal gray looks really cool with the pearlescent look.Good seal with the lid. NO LEAKS. Absolutely no leaks any time I take a sip.It's an open lid, but no worries on stuff staying hot or cold. However, I do prefer the slider lid style and I wish this had that. I failed to notice the lid style at purchase so that is on me.I love this style of cup as my daily drink cup. It isn't likely to fit in a car cup holder, but it does sit on a cup holder usually just fine. I love the handle, the size, and the feel of these style tumblers. I also use the non handled kind (usually marketed as a wine tumber) for same use. I just love the size. The addition of handle is the best.Couple of tricks for any of these cups for maximizing hot and cold is to warm up the cup with hot water for a few minutes (then dump out) before adding hot beverage. Or for starting off extra cold, place empty cup in fridge or freezer for a few minutes. Then add ice and beverage.

This cup keeps cold liquids cold --it takes a long time for ice cubes to melt-- and hot liquids hot. And it does it without any moving parts to complicate cleaning (or lead to suspicions that cleaning has been compromised). The latter feature makes it easily the best insulated cup I have ever used.

I originally bought this because when it is winter my coffee or tea gets cold before I can drink it. Indoors. So annoying. I have a few insulated flasks but they are not the same as drinking from a mug. I also wanted a camping cup for wine or beer, as again, the flasks just seem kinda weird for sipping wine at the campsite.So I thought I'd try this!So far I have mostly used it for coffee when camping. It is great. It's pretty small so it doesn't hold a ton of liquid. But that's ok. It will be perfect for wine or other beverages as well. I know they sell curved wine glass style stainless tumblers but I like having a handle so I can clip the empty cup to my backpack with a carabiner. Usually when camping I take a stroll with my coffee in the morning, and sometimes it gets tedious to carry the empty cup in hand if I happened to wander far or need to scramble over rocks. I like that it has a cover, handy if you want to stroll with a full cup. It's obvs not spill proof but it helps with sloshing.As with most cups it does seem to stain from coffee. It doesn’t bother me and I don’t notice any weird tastes. I scrub the crap out of it with a plastic brush but maybe I’d need to use something even more heavy duty? Not a big deal for me anyway.

Using the "Abominable Snow Products" as the reference, this one is about half the price.Does it keep coffee warm half the time? Nope, it keeps coffee warm at least 75% of the time.Does the lid fit the same? Nope the lid is easier to get on and off.Are the colors as cool? Well, the pale mint green is nice, these look-a-like's aren't the same, but they do have a striking set of colors to choose from.Does it clean up as well? Both items are on par with each other.Easy to hold? Yep, Its a cup after all, not much variety along that dimension.Will it survive a nuclear explosion? Nope - and I'd suspect both are on par.Will it spread viruses? Yes, if you drink after someone infected, or if you are infected yourself and someone drinks after you.Is the seal as tight? I'd have to say that Abominable edges this one out in that regard.Does it leak in normal use? Nope. No leaking.Can I put it in the subaru cup holder? Heck no. But it is smaller than Abominable.Does it grow legs on its own? Not yet. No pesky legs.Does it have a awesome Abominable logo of any sort? Nope, its a bit plain in that regard.Would you recommend? Yep - two products for the price of one Abominable. Hermey would be proud.Can you take it prospecting? Yep - Yukon Cornelius would like this piece of hardware.Can its teeth be removed? This product, like Abominable, was purchased post Hermey's handiwork.Can you get good use at a fishing tournament? Yep, you can go Rankin Bass with it. (saved the best for last).

The mug I received is an attractive shade of metallic gray with a stainless steel rim and interior. It is comfortable to drink out of with or without the lid attached. The lid fits snugly and won’t slip off. My morning coffee stays hot long enough to play Wordle and read the morning paper. It is interesting that the sides of the mug stay cool to the touch, so the vacuum insulation obviously works well. A quality product.Update: While this mug keeps coffee hot, the heat will cause the lid to expand slightly, making it VERY difficult to remove if you wish to refill. If you have issues with hand strength or dexterity, I would recommend not using the lid.

This cup keeps my coffee hot for a long time, so much so, I only have to drink one cup instead of two in the morning. Usually coffee gets cold before I can drink it all but this lasts for more than an hour! I bought two of these for myself and husband. I like the fact that the lid has a black rubber piece on it instead of clear. My other ones are stained from the coffee and this one doesn't show. Very nice handle also. We like them.
