What are considered wide shoulders? Anyone know the measurements along hanger (as opposed to across it)?

Widest round part at end of hanger is 2.25 inches across/wide. From metal hook to one end side of hanger is 10.50 long. Round Tip to Round Tip across hanger bottom is 17.58. Can’t tell if this answers your question.

What’s the weight capacity? I want to use it for a heavy motorcycle jacket.

I do not know the weight capacity. I do believe the hanger will hold the jacket. The hook is more likely to break during handling vs hanging, so just be careful to take your jacket in & out of the closet by handling the hanger at a solid part of the wooden piece. This hanger is a good choice for your jacket. You’ll like the way it maintains a nice shoulder. Just be gentle with your handling of the hanger and move your jacket in & out of the closet with care not to put tension on the hanger’s hook.

I have a heavy gown with a wide neckline. It will easily slip off "regular" wooden hangers, so I need something better. Would these work?

These hangers are 17.5" long and 2.5" wide at the tip of each end as shown in the picture, so I cannot imagine anything slipping off of them. Although they list them as "suit" hangers, I used all 6 of mine on my heavy coats and jackets, and long robes - they are fabulous.

No, but sturdy and well made nonetheless.
