Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit, Timing Wireless Remote Control

I installed a new fan in my dinning room which was wired for a light fixture. Not having light and fan wire separately we had to depend on pull chains which were standard 13 inches. Wife couldn't reach to fan and light chain switch which was not good.Thought I would just by additional chain and extend the those so she could reach. During search I came across this remote which was about the same price of additional chains. I bought and installed it. Installation was easy except I had to remove everything to put the receiver inside in a secure place.It worked perfectly and still working after almost 10 days. I am hoping it doesn't have a short life since replacing means take all lights and blades off to reach where it is. Only one strange thing happened once, the light came ON it self with a beep, like someone has pressed the button on remote while no one was in dinning room. I don't think I have a ghost in the house who is trying to play with remote. Not knowing the range, only justification I can think of is one of my neighbor had installed same unit and possibly we will be activating each other's fans. That would be funny.Update: No ghost, it was a brief power failure which caused light to turn ON and that is how remote is designed. First power ON turns the light ON. Excellent product and I love it.

My original remote on a ceiling fan stopped working, this was a great and easy replacement, it comes with all the wires label even with colors which make it very easy to install.

Naturally, installation is difficult trying to work on a ladder to install the unit into a ceiling fan, but worth the effort. Our favorite feature is the ability to turn the fan on at night while in bed and have it automatically shut off well after we're asleep.

Old fan control quit working,20yrs old.This control and remote work well and wiring is easy and basic. I like the remote better even though it is much simpler than my old controller that had a display and more features that I did not need. Price was a big influencer, quality seems good for the few days it has been in service. I will buy another.

Actually this was NOT fast and easy to install but BECAUSE?? my fan, which might date back to 2005 (in a 5th wheel) had 2 of the ((2x4) + (4)) screws frozen, to first UNDO to get to the point of installing it--until I worked around it. (One was 1 of the 2 holding 1 of the 4 fan blades--I considered heat? from a soldering iron or lighter / penetrating oil; but then GOT SMART and undid the 1 fan blade screw that DID unscrew and the mechanical advantage, of leveraging the base of that blade however slightly, loosened the monster-frozen screw.(The other hard screws were hard to get to 'cause of a nearby ceiling AC unit creating tight space--used a smallest-size rachet holder with Phillips head insert (which I'd had to get for a vintage Mercedes with a similar "impossible to reach" screw location).Sooo, after determining all screws would come out, proceeded. I hate the idea of dying by 110 volts due to my stupidity so I proceeded slowly (I OWN a line voltage non touching indicator but damnit couldn't find it after recent move).THE UNIT's labeling is terrific !!! Not only color but words actually say "to fan" etc. as a nice double assurance that connections are correct.Recommend that you might see YouTube ways to make nut/cap connections as good as possible--basically twisting entire wire set to add security to your connections.I'm ...PUMPED... how this went eventually. ONLY question for awhile was the "TIMER"--I'd yet to see it turn off after an HOUR etc. It feels / I now observe after a day or so that the systems "line up" / it "tunes in" re the three speeds and the timer which works perfectly...that is, I had to adjust the pull chain speed setting...and the timer ...well, play with it--you press, say, 1 hour, it does nothing...then press "low" for example, and presto whammo ... turns off perfectly logically.NOTE: I read the 1, 2-star's and with mine it "felt" like it took a little while for remote to ... lock in. That is, I have a chain pull 3 speed set up AND? the FIRST TIME out of the gate I used this, sure enough the symptoms of others happened--it was a weird / speed was exceptionally slow rotation / it was off / med. and high was off. BUT THEN, I re-pulled the pull-chain setting. That did the trick with the remote's speed buttons WORKING PERFECTLY, got the old basic speed of fan back just fine. FOR TEN BUCKS? ???? ARE YOU KIDDING ???? This is great.SOME challenging fitting the UNIT into the shielding container, overhead; mine did, suspended against ceiling, held up by metal band of frame.Good luck everyone. Again, for the price ?? Fabulous.

Not complicated. Easy to install.
