Might be my new favourite thing...
I got this during lockdown to add a bit of variety to a sunday morning breakfast. I made a stack of pancakes, and added some of these, some Quorn sausages and drizzled with smoked maple syrup (try it, it's crazy, but gooooood crazy).Well, I have to admit I was very pleasantly surprised. This meatless bacon is delicious. It's almost as tasty as real bacon. So, the fakin' bacon itself is covered in loads of oil in the packet, and the oil has that amazing baconny smell, so the moment you open the packet, your mouth starts watering. The bacon slices are far more sturdy than quorn bacon, so they don't rip anywhere near as easily. A small knife will let you slide them apart, or you can (carefully) just peel them apart). They fry up just like normal bacon. They turn crispy pretty quickly, so you have to keep an eye on them. Although they're a little oily to begin with, they do dry out in the pan, so it's always best to drizzle on a little more oil to keep them moist. If you cook them, it can be a little hard to tell when they're done, since they don't solidify or change colour like meat. You just have to trust that they're cooked after a minute or so. If you leave them long enough to turn brown, they'll be too crispy.Saying that, I *love* them when they're a bit crispy, they're SO tasty. The taste is very good, way better than Quorn bacon. However, don't expect them to taste /exactly/ like bacon. They WILL scratch that baconny itch if you're abstaining from meat, and will do a great job of filling in for that most tasty of pork products, however you WILL be able to tell that it's not bacon. Something about the texture is slightly different, and the flavour does have a veggie protein base that you can just about detect under the baconny flavour.Despite these being a tad on the expensive side, they're SO worth it, and I'll be getting more of these when I can.

yummy glad i found this
After years of trying to find a tasty bacon type product, obviously i used the quorn one, and having tried the supermarket ones, Tescos own, which they stopped doing, Asda have stopped doing the quorn chilled one and only the frozen option, morning star stopped years ago, so now this one, It has a lot of flavour and can be cooked to go crispy, i personally don't think it tastes like bacon, but then i have been a vegetarian for over 30 years so, i guess i don't remember the taste. put this one is packed with flavour, and has a chewy consistency, So i have bought more and also there garlic ham, which i have yet to try, delivery is very quick, and it comes in a cold pack with a gel cold packet which i assume is frozen when it starts its journey, but isn't when it arrives. but the product is fine. mine had a long use by date, so i can keep it in my fridge or freeze it.

Very good!
I think these vegan bacon rashers could have been thicker as they fell away when I tried to peel them apart. Also if your not going to eat them all within a few days I would freeze them (individually so that they don't stick together when you take them out the freezer) as they go off very quickly like the rest of the meatless range. Apart from that they are very good and taste great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore new horizons with their diet!

Terrible Taste
I wanted to like it, trying out vegan food. I never usually throw away food. But after eating two slices of this with great difficulty, it went in the bin. My partner also hated it. So no I don't recommend it.

Tasty
Made a nice 'bacon' sandwich - delicious with some brown sauce - better than other bacon substitutes I've tried.
